DC - Rob Ryan?

We need a sticky, he's yelling because you can no longer use that loophole and it's been talked about 500 times, people just refuse to listen.

only 500?

This one is destined for the hall of fame. It will have a plaque alongside "Why can't we put Player X who got hurt in training camp on the PUP?"

need a hug there big guy? Whatcha yellin for?

and oh ya there is an easy way around lateral moves nowadays, its called assistant head coach in charge of defense. Which is a position higher than a coordinator there fore not a lateral move even if only on paper.

But yell some more I like it.

Almost 2400 posts, and this is what we get? Makes me glad I haven't read the others......:lmao2:

well we can take him if al davis lets us, he's brought in kiffin's son who probably should know a thing or two about defense himself and probably wants rob to leave but really cant force a guy who's had the #3 ranked defense out of town.

But the intresting thing might be that norv did bring him over to the raiders and he could possibly not be too happy over there that some 31 year old assistant from usc got the coaching job before he did.

Especially after a job well done in 2006 and he has the respect of the players big time on that raiders squad

hey new guy instead of stompin on people why not actually contribute?
I was wrong, and I admitted it. Go away.

Here's the Ryan we need... Jack Ryan. Talk about defense. It doesn't get any better than National defense.

I can't find jack on the rule after an hour of looking, if anyone can link it I would appreciate it. Not an opinion a link to something that actually states the rule with regards to coaches lateral movement and more specifically the assitant head coach title.

Do you really think Ryan would rather be in Oakland than Dallas? I may be wrong but I doubt that would be the case. Aren't we in way better shape than they are?

we're talking about Rob in this thread boy-o

but don't know why Rob would want to leave that unit in Oaktown, it's pretty good w/ alot of young talent, wouldn't mind taking DT Tommy Kelly UFA off of their hands

My bad. I assumed we were talking about Rex since he's the one who has been mentioned as a candidate so many times on the board.

Rob makes even less sense.

I don't know, it's hard not to give Rob credit for the job he did in Oakland, of all places.

I never read it, whats awesome is when people assume you an idiot based solely on ignorance. ignorance is a lack of knowledge apparently I am ignorant not an idiot, though some would argue I am both. Thanks for being so understanding, its the compassion between posters that keeps me coming back here.

Ignoramus.
