News: DC: Romo: Despite Tough Two Months, "We're Not Done Yet"

IRVING, Texas – Tony Romo isn’t typically the type for juicy soundbites or headline-grabbing quotes.

He’s far more likely to flash a sly smile and give an evasive answer – an art he’s perfect after countless hours in front of scores of cameras. That’s what made it so noteworthy when Romo’s official Twitter account posted a bold proclamation in reference to the 2-7 Cowboys’ prospects through the second half of the season:

Even better than that, when pressed for comment on Wednesday, the typically reserved Romo didn’t shy away.

“I think I want everyone to know we’re not done yet,” Romo said.

I love his confidence, but, this team is done this season. Romo will win some games, but he is going to lose some also.

And, as a big fan of Romo...I am not going to pin my hopes on him saving this season because that would just be wrong for me to put expectations on Romo because I don't want to be one of those that "I told you so, that Romo cannot win a SB" crowd.

But, I will hang in there just to watch, but he won't bring this team back to anywhere near a SB this season...just saying.

I've always felt if this team were to win big in the playoffs, it would be in a total unexpected situation, where they sorta crept thru the backdoor.

Romo does believe in this squad: If Romo believes, I believe!

Even if we miss the playoffs, winning the next 7 would be great just to shut the Billick's of the world up!

Cassel is a complete bum. I believe we would've won 2 of these 3(sea, ny, philly) w Weeden @ QB.

Our coaches overreacted to the dismantling Belichick put on em. It cost us at least 2 victories and got a good man embarrassed this week.
