IRVING, Texas – Two of the NFL’s top 10 receivers this season both reside on the upcoming opponent of the Cowboys.

The Cowboys have faced some of the toughest receivers in the league this season, from Calvin Johnson to Victor Cruz to the plethora of options at Peyton Manning’s disposal, but Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall could be the best duo they see all year.

“They’re real strong,” said cornerback Orlando Scandrick. “They both go up and catch the ball and highpoint well. We have faced good guys that go up, but I don’t know if we’ve faced two guys that go up and get the ball like these guys and are having seasons like these guys.”
Both Marshall and Jeffery are two of the bigger receivers in the game, each standing at least 6-3 and more than 215 pounds. They’ve totaled more than 2,000 combined receiving yards already this season and each ranks in the top five receiving in the NFC.

“There’s no question they’re awfully good outside,” said head coach Jason Garrett. “They have big, strong receivers who can go and get the football. Both Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery are guys who can make plays out there when they’re contested. I think their quarterbacks do a great job of giving them a chances to do it.”

Jeffries is out of South Carolina and I thought he'd be a decent possession receiver and threat in the RZ. He's faster than he looks and he's adjusting to the ball very well this year in the several times I've seen him play. Marshall is a handful as well. They are going to have to double one and pressure the other. My guess is Carr will be on the hot one pressing at the line and OScan is going to have to try and reroute the other probably Jeffries. And the safeties are going to have to cover the CBs. I'm more of a wrap them up strip the ball guy but I would have Church and Wilcox lay the wood to these guys esp when they come over the middle.

I hope whomever is playing LB brings their skates which them.

Let me get this straight? You like strip joints, and then go to church?

What kind of person are you....

I really like OScan's ability as a CB bc he seems to know his own limitations and is good at letting bad plays not linger on his future play(Newman). I would rather they "try" to stay in safe man 2 coverage instead of releasing the wr's bc opposing QBs really start to connect when they seem to get this timing of the release down. Obviously the front 7 has to step up for this to occur...I do agree about pressing and doubling the off wr as a general coverage 3, single man type coverage as man 2 obviously wont cut it every play, etc and different looks can trip up a QBs timing (TOs).

Lol! I actually like this. Not giving up an easy TD! Like in basketball, fouling someone hard instead of giving up an easy layup.... Even though Tnew looked to be in decent position to make a fair play on the WR

What kills me is he still made the catch anyway. If you're gonna choke the receiver, at least make sure he doesn't catch it.
