He continues to pump up McFadden. Like many here, he's a fan and believes that he will do well here. I hope for everyone's sake he's right.

DMC doesn't need pumping up...He is a stud rb when healthy and he is as of now....

Just like they didn't count on him last year.
Just like they got rid of all the LBs but him.
Probably the reason Garrett has been saying in his past 2 PCs that he's a great player who's is impactful to the defense.

Y'all keep saying it enough and one day you'll hit paydirt.

Letting Carter/Durant go and keeping McClain was about money. I like where the LB position is. Stoked to see Wilson in preseason.

The position I'm really looking forward to watching, though, is RB. I know I'm not alone there.

I don't think it was only money. You don't let go 3 and sign 6. If they were all that, the Jones would found a way. If Ro is as horrible as y'all say he is the team wouldn't be bothered with it.

Considering all the LBs they've been picking up this offseason, especially the veteran Brinkley who plays his position, I don't think they're counting on him at all really. If it came down to it, Brinkley, Hitchens, or Lee could easily step into the starting MLB role if necessary. Then for the OLB positions there's any combination of either Hitchens (though I think he'd be the starting MLB if Ro can't go), Lee (assuming he doesn't play MLB), Damien Wilson, Gachkar, Rivers, Wilbur, etc.

We're good to go at LB no matter what happens with Ro IMO. He's just icing on the cake.

They have expectations (hope, if you will) but they have a pretty good idea of what they are working with in McClain and I believe a contingency plan is in place if he goes rogue for any reason.

People making way too much out of McClain's injury.

Not even training camp yet.

It's never only anything, but the Cowboys weren't going to pay Carter and Durant what they were being offered elsewhere.

Far as McClain, I have no idea how good a player he is, but it doesn't matter if he's not on the field. I think his insistence on not working out with the team is way less than a good sign.

I don't think it's ever a good thing to try to tell other people what they should think or what they should or shouldn't worry about.

I've yet to see anything good come from it.

Being fast is such an overrated concept for a running back. It amazes me that so many people do not understand that.

It is a properly rated skill. Obviously that's not all there is to the position but we got to see a slow running back last year. With our line if Darren can hit the correct hole St the correct time his speed will have a chance to shine. Just like Murray's lack of speed had many opportunities to show you it didn't exist.

When Witten is running with you stride for stride.....

He's bullish on McFadden but I am not ready to buy it yet.

Disappointing on McClain, especially with the little jab saying if he had been rehabbing here he'd be further along.

I am getting giddy about the thought of 3rd and 8 against Sam Bradford and he has to look across and see Gregory, Crawford, Lawrence and Hardy lined up ready to kill him.

It's a cheap shot based on no real medical evidence. And the point is it is way too early to be coming to any conclusions about his heart, head, or health.

I completely agree with you on the defensive line though. Think this group could be special.

I think there is some evidence on McClain though. He's made a bunch of questionable decisions in his life. Enough to wonder if he is doing the right thing in this case as well.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. We know he had surgery on his knee. If his timetable is to be ready for tc which is over a month away why exactly should he look 100 percent today?

That's what I was thinking. I just threw the red meat out there Anyway.

10. I love the practices at AT&T Stadium because it allows me the opportunity to get right in the middle of the drills on the field. My favorite thing is to go down in the corner and study the defensive line as they work for Rod Marinelli, Leon Lett and Ben Bloom. As a former scout, I appreciate how much coaching goes into the position and what they are able to accomplish in the time they have to work. The combination that I really enjoy watching is when DeMarcus Lawrence, Tyrone Crawford, Greg Hardy and Randy Gregory are all coming off the ball. There is so much explosive quickness when the ball is snapped – the group is like a blur. From what I have seen it just appears that these players are going to have success getting to the quarterback this season.

This makes me salivate

It moved....................

Questionable decisions like retiring from a game that he no longer had a desire to play in order to get his life in better order?

Seems actually like the mature decision.
