I never had an issue with Williams as a #2 he has made big plays for this team. As a #1 he comes up short but then that is why Dez has the contract he has and why Williams has the one he has. I have seen several plays where when Romo is in trouble he finds Williams and Williams has come through.

Terrence Williams problems have never been that he is a body catcher. Whoever says that has really not watched him play much. He has made some of the nicest sideline fingertip, toe tapping catches I have seen. The problem with Terrance he he does not show up or does not get open more games than he does!

And I've seen the ball hit him in the chest and clang away in equal measure. I agree that his lack of explosiveness is the bigger issue but body catching still isn't a positive nor non-issue.

If he improves then great.

I like what Scott Linehan is doing with Ezekiel Elliott by splitting him out of the backfield and putting him in routes. Linehan is creating opportunities for Elliott to get the ball one-on-one in space. On one particular play, Linehan had Elliott come across the formation through traffic but Romo just missed by throwing the ball high and behind him. If Romo gets the ball in front of him, it’s a serious gain. From what I have seen so far with Elliott and his hands, Romo is not afraid to throw the ball to him even when he has other options open down the field. We’re starting to see some signs of developing trust.

Hope TWill has a monster year and silences his critics. He deserves more respect than he gets and was instrumental in our playoff run the previous year.

yeah I don't dislike TWILL. But I think we could do better at #2. With TWILL being an active 3.....and a backup to the 1 and 2 guy......TWILL is a worker, hustle kind of guy. He is putting in the work. He is talented. But.....I just think he is more of a product of Romo. If TWILL doesn't have Elite QB play....he is a JAG. I think we can upgrade there....although I don't think its a high priority....

If he was going against Carr "one on one" all year, no doubt he would. Sorry I just couldn't resist. Actually if he can stay healthy, I think he has a good chance. It depends on how Dez comes along to create mismatches.

Like I've stated previous in many T Williams threads... T Will missed Romo more than anybody else on the field last year, I can tell that they have a great QB/WR connection and most will see it this upcoming season like we did in 2014.

Terrance has 8 drops in his career on 134 targets which is not even close to being in the higher percentages of drops. He is below average in drops!

It's kinda a non-issue if you look at the amount of career drops he has had.

I've always like Williams as a number 2 receiver because he scores a lot of TD's given the limited targets coming his way. With the other options on this team, i.e., the running game, Dez, Witten, Beasley, he won't get a lot of opportunities, but he'll score on a high percentage of those opportunities.

What we found out last year is that he is not a number 1 WR. His biggest issue isn't being a body catcher, it's consistency. You can't disappear for games at a time as the #1 option. Williams missed Romo last year. But he may have missed Dez even more as his injury forced Williams into a role he wasn't suited for.
