Who the heck is Kadeem Edwards? I see from the article that he is backing up Tyron Smith at LT. I realize that we signed him to the practice squad late last year, but was a bit surprised to see him backing up Smith. Yes, I know it is only the second day of camp. Got to dissect every aspect of training camp :)

So many thoughts about Taco Flashing... most are not repeatable in a public forum.... Seven days without Taco, makes one weak.

OXNARD, Calif. – We watched one final day of practices in no pads on Tuesday. As nice as it’s been to get back into the practice routine, it’ll be that much better to put the pads on Wednesday and watch real football.

Before that happens, here are some notes from Tuesday evening’s work:

Read

  • I’ve been hopeful to see Taco Charlton present some problems for Tyron Smith, and in the blitz period, he was able to do just that. Charlton put his left hand in Smith’s chest and extended it in order to keep Smith's hands off him. Once he had Smith under control, Charlton was able to quickly attack his edge and execute a quality rush. This was a real step in the right direction because during the OTAs and minicamps, Charlton didn't sniff a pressure against the All-Pro left tackle.

I'd been "hopeful" too that Taco would look better once the pads came on and he was allowed to get more physical.

I don't know if I should be excited about the Taco news or concern about Smith, lol.
anyone can have a bad play now and then. When Taco can do this say a third to half the time then it warrants real attention.
