DC: Spagnola: Rushing To Improve The Cowboys

It should be a rebuilding season but when you still have Romo and you keep your coach then the expectations can not be lowered.

Dallas better win this next year or it's just a waste of a season. ( which I think we all know it is )

yep..

its a make or break year for the whole team.

but the break part needs to be tempered.

as you mention..until Romo is deemed well and starting..

..we collectively know nothing more than when the season ended..

The crazy thing about 8-8 is that we could have been 10-6 with better coaching. So, once again, football is proven to be a dynamic game where improving all facets of your team is important. Too bad current ownership and management can only excel in the marketing aspect of the game.

You have to go D-Line the 2 out of the first three rounds - maybe around a OG or, a stud safety. Our Dline was/is a group of scrubs - ware is one of my all-time favorites but the battles over the years have taken a toll, Spencer might never be the same if we can even afford him, Hatcher will want too much cash (plus he disappeared down the stretch), Selvie is a hussle player that I like a lot but is limited athletically, the rest of the guys are back-ups at best.

We're not going to run the ball.

You won't see any difference in our offense at all. When it's 3rd & 2 you can bet on us passing. With Romo as the QB and giving him so much freedom that is just 1 more variable in the pass vs run filter that will get it switched to a pass even if it's a run call.

Well, considering Spags is Jerry's mouthpiece (or so people say) then he must have heard it from the horse himself and knows it to be true. :D

I guess we will just have to wait and see.
