While the first couple of waves of free agency have passed, it's never too late to upgrade the roster, something the Cowboys will try to do at the end of this month with the NFL Draft. Even with that, the majority of the 2018 roster is already in place. In the coming weeks, the staff of DallasCowboys.com will preview those players, analyzing where they've been and where they're going.

Yes, he was a bright spot near the end of the season. He and Lewis appear to be good draft picks and with Jones moving to corner that position is looking better.

As long as Byron is the slot guy guarding slot wrs and tight ends then it’s a good thing. He can make a good living on the inside.

Boy it sure feels nice having a second round pick actually work out for once.

These guys came on strong and now with Byron moving to corner this group will be a position of strength for us this year.

Yeah he did.
Aggressive, made rookie mistakes, but did the things that made winning plays.

He's Gonna be Somebody!
Travis Tritt anyone? “I’m gonna be somebody. One these days I’m gonna break these chains!”

Sorry Corso. Just kinda came to me. I agree, Awuzie, now #24 will be a good one!

Starting potential? He balled the hell out.

As long as he stays healthy, I have absolutely no doubts about Chido moving forward. He didn't play much last year, but he was outstanding in every game he did.

honestly, some of his mistakes came from aggression. I love to see it. I would rather see a defensive player (especially a corner) be a bit too aggressive than be too cautious and allow everything under the sun

I think the Cowboys are positioned pretty well at CB...and I am glad they didn't need to use a first round pick to do so. Time will tell if either Awuzie or Lewis are just good players or something more. Brown taking a step back was disappointing. We have seen that a lot recently at CB. Where it looks like we found a decent depth guy only to see that player regress and leave pretty shortly after.

I don't have much faith in Byron Jones currently although if they can find a place where he can be productive, it makes the secondary much better. I still think they need to starting safeties. Haven't seen enough of Woods to know if he is one.

He did look like he belongs. However he didn't play until what week 9??

Another 2nd rounder wasting a year........

Maliek Collins also missed time as a rookie and still beat out Crawford for the starting job. Going into his third season, most fans don't think even consider him in our long-term plans. Just saying.
