IRVING, Texas - The day after cutting one former Seattle running back from the roster, the Cowboys are bringing in another.
Although, Robert Turbin last played for the Browns, he is yet the latest back expected to join the Cowboys with some Seattle ties.
Turbin spent three seasons with the Seahawks from 2012-14, backing up Marshawn Lynch along with Christine Michael, who was released by the Cowboys on Tuesday.
Assuming Turbin passes his physical Wednesday, he could be on the practice field later in the day to complete a backfield that also includes Rod Smith, who was claimed off waivers from the Seahawks earlier this season.
The signing of Turbin would give the Cowboys four tailbacks on the roster yet again. Darren McFadden is expected to start, but Turbin and Smith should provide some depth, along with Trey Williams, who was signed off of Washington’s practice squad last week.
