Make sure you guys check out the live show this coming Saturday Night at 10:00pm est. We will be talking about players the Cowboys could be looking at with their first round draft pick. The 2007 NFL Draft begins next Saturday April 28th at 11:00am est!

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/hostpage.aspx?show_id=21098

I will interview CB Darrelle Revis from Pitt. He is definitely a first round draft pick on most draft boards and he will give us some insight regarding interest in him from the Cowboys.

Other scheduled guests include: Coach Bartel, Hostile, Josh Skeety, Grizz.

See the page linked above for details on how to listen.

cool, would love to hear what Revis has to say. Longshot for him to be there at 22 but if he's there we'd better take him.

That's just a little flavor hos, no problem. You went all last December without dropping the 'F' bomb so you have like 600 mulligans in the bag you can use. lol.

I really liked the interview you did with Revis. He sounds exactly like the kind of fearless CB you want to put out there on that island.

Exactly. Here's my explanation of why I switched from Ross to Revis today as my #1 option at 22(although I doubt he will be here).

Something happened to me today ---

I am kind of in shock here. Since the combine I have been a huge fan of Aaron Ross as the pick for the Cowboys at the #22 spot. Have not budged on that sentiment since around that time.

Of course I have other guys who were the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc choices, but it was always Ross as the #1 choice because I think the Cowboys desperately need a punt returner and a CB who can step in immediately if Henry gets hurt again.

Today it happened. Ross is now my 2nd choice. He's a great player and I will still be overjoyed if the Cowboys draft him, but I think that another CB/PR is more suited for the Cowboys.

Darrelle Revis. Yes, part of it has to do with him being on my show tonight. But not just because he agreed to be interviewed, but what he said in his interview. Then the other huge factor in this decision came about 40 minutes after I got off the phone with Revis. Aaron Ross was on ESPN News "The Blitz" today with his GF, the track star Sanya Richards.

They are both going to be great NFL CB's I think. But I think there are some vast differences in their personalities and style of play. I have heard interviews with both and seen a whole bunch of game film of both, well the lot that is out there on them.

Revis seems like a cocky, go get 'em type of player while Ross seems like a non-chalant, good guy make as many plays as I can type of player.

I had a post a while back about the toughness of this defense. I had remarked about guys like Roy Williams, D Ware, T New are a non-talkers. They are nice guys ya know. And I said in that post I wanted some guys on this defense who were not so nice while playing football.

I want a guy who walks over the WR after a big hit. I want a guy who knocks the snot out of a RB and starts screaming like a maniac. I want some 'Joey Porter' types on the field. This defense has enough nice guys.

Ken Hamlin, Bobby Carpenter, Jay Ratliff type of guys who bring energy to the field when something happens.

Right now I think Revis is more that type of guy. He's a good kid, but he wants the spotlight and he wants to be great. Those are things I want in a CB on my team. No offense to women out there, but I don't want my CB on TV all the time talking about how his GF beats him in bowling all the time. I guess I want the 'Not Mr. Nice Guy' to be covering WR's and helping this defense shut down offenses.

Especially now with a new philosophy where we want to attack the offense with the Phillips 34 defense.

This was a difficult decision guys. Many will say I am kissing Revis' arse because I interviewed him. Well your opinion is yours so go with it. But make sure you know that I also compared and contrasted these two for the last two hours also when this idea came into my head about Revis being my new #1 choice.
