mine was too, hemmroids, poison ivy on me, and spasmodic dysphonia with feeling like someone taking the bones in my legs and trying to break them, with some choking, but today is another day

listening to DC's podcast now, pretty good as usual

That's probably it -- subconsciously, I've been wanting Free to erase our poor recent history of highly drafted linemen. The higher a draft pick I made him, the better. :)

yeah, doug free is one of my pet cats but you do realize that doug free and alex barron are unrestricted free agents next year right?

you cannot teach instincts. If Hamlin aint got them that is that.

Norm asked Goose in the draft what the NFL consensus was on Hamlin when he was coming out of the draft. Goose said Hamlin was seen a potential special teams ace, but wasn't highly thought of as a safety prospect. I guess that's where the instincts come into play.

For all the talk about how safety is such an unimportant position, there sure doesn't seem to be enough supply meeting demand. There are a lot of teams out there looking for a starting caliber one, and there were a boat load of them drafted in the first 3 rounds in the draft.

Yeah, and after it's been determined that he's worth approximately a Bobby Carpenter, Barron will probably break the bank.

I have that video of DFW. Just busy but will get it online later on today.

What was interesting is in that interview with Tinker Hamlin talks about making sure he does the exact thing that Bryan says he wasn't doing - just reacting and not thinking too much.

Uhh hardly.

So when you bit my head off when I posted about the coaches not having much confidence in the FS's we have, isn't the same thing you just previously posted?

Suck up your pride. Maybe think twice before you snap and call me out.

lol

Umm Number 1, You cherry picked a few comments to suit your bias for begging for free agents, especially this particular one.

number 2, no cowboys coaches have said our young safeties have played poorly. Bryan broaddus who I love, but is only there on a press pass even though he is a legitimate bonifide nfl scout said he didnt think HAMLIN had the instincts.

Which has nothing to do with what I said the other day, I have taken the stance that they like ALAN BALL as the starter.

Hearing about hamlin from broaddus just concerns me because of injuries to a corner or ball or sensy.

and most importantly its june and these are teaching sessions so I would be willing to bet there are alot of guys overthinking things.

But again, I stand by what I have said, if the cowboys evaluate their safeties as deficient and not having much upside and they evaluate atogwe as a superior player with at least a few above average seasons left I think we should be in the mix, no matter the cost.

but if the evaluations are close or they think what we do here on defense may not allow him to produce the same kind of numbers, against better competition for 6 important games in the divison I dont think they should or will sign him.

We will see.

now get back to worrying about playcalling in OTAs. cause that is important.

My post said the same thing your post did. I didn't cherry pick anything dude. CL also posted that he thought the coaches wern't too high on them either. I didn't see any call outs when he posted it.

You just love to call me out and it backfired. I love it.

Swallow your pride big guy.

why on earth would I want to call you out. I am just talking about a particular topic.

and again, where did what I have said backfire? Your using stuff said about HAMLIN and applying it to ALAN BALL.

Broaddus didnt say ball wasnt instictive he said hamlin didnt look to be.

Ball is the guy who will start as of today. So there is a big difference.

and most importantly the team didnt say it, Bryan did. Bryan doesnt sign checks at valley ranch. His evaluaton is as good as anyones though and if he sees hamlin struggling that is a concern.
