His knee isnt right and we shouldnt be worried at all. Our starting DE is out for 4 weeks and now the 2nd string guy has knee issues and he stinks anyway.

My point was only that this was not a guy who's been cut three times. His 2nd team wanted him, and the 3rd team outbid him to put him on the roster. Perhaps we might see him on the filed before we conclude he's not able to contribute.

And Freeney's still 36, with wobbly knees. And on the street.

Granted. But do you understand the concept that he has a knee problem and that is bad news? A scope is typically to clean things out whether it be fluid, scar tissue, floating bodies, ect...ect..... But there has to be a problem with the knee to be causing inflamation, scar tissue, floating bodies, ect...ect... Now it could be nothing and the guy could be right back out there. Or they could be hoping that the scope will take care of the problem and its not something more serious.

Some guys yesterday were scoffing off the elbow issue of McFadden and saying "it cant be that bad if he was playing with it", ect....ect..... Scoffing it off as no big deal. Now it looks like he is out for several months and may miss the first week of the season. You should NEVER scoff at an injury or a player getting any kind of surgery. Its a clear indication there is something wrong. Turn a blind eye if it suits you.

See that, this is the EXACT attitude of Jerry Jones. He has to get desperate and sign side show losers that bring down the rest of the team because of his failings as a GM.

The defense will be improved this year. Better DL's. OScan is back. Wilcox and Hayden not starting and not on the 53. Lots of positives to look at and believe they will be better.

I have to disagree. The Dline is worse and certainly for the first 4 games. We also havent even gotten through training camp yet and I am sure a few injuries will pop up.

I can agree that another year of Jones at safety and Scandric back can improve the secondary. But that is about it for me on the defense.

No doubt the offense shining and dominating can help the stats improve, but I dont see that as a true improvement of the quality of the defense.
