Northwestern defensive tackle Corbin Bryant, who is the highest-ranked Wildcat on many draft boards, ran the 40 in 5.09 and 5.10.
A couple of long shots whom scouts were buzzing about were North Central linebacker Matt Wenger, who ran a 4.58 at 233 pounds, and St. Xavier wide receiver Mike Maher, who showed excellent quickness in the shuttles.
Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald is one of the few coaches in the country who opens his doors to a large group of players who aren't his own. Scouts in attendance praised him for helping the kids and helping NFL teams.
