DE is a strength

Hardy, Lawrence and now Gregory. We turned a weakness into a spot that has 3 guys for 2 positions.

That's the good news. Coupled with Jones, we have a revamped defense with talent at premium positions.

The bad news? No rb.

If everything works out:
1. Hardy's suspension is reduced to 4 games or less
2. Lawrence continues to improve in his 2nd season
3. Mincey doesn't disappear a la Selvie
4. Gregory is as good as advertised

Hold off on calling it a strength. DT still isn't that strong and we still have a lot with Lawrence that is unproven. If DT doesn't get better than it makes it harder for the ends to really do that much. Really our most experiened rush end going into game one is Mincey. And our best DT is probably Crawford right now. That's just not all that great right now. Certainly not a strength yet. Now could it be better than last year? If Lawrence is healthy and plays like he did the end of the year all year that makes it automatically better. Even if our other DEs don't work out.

I'm not quite at the point of considering it a strength, still a lot of question marks. I'd like to imagine it'll improve over last year, but that's not saying much.

Yeah Mincey.. sheesh.

What I was saying is that we covered that position 2x this off season and it should be a position of strength but at the same time, we left other positions of need unaddressed.

The positive is we should get plenty of pressure out of that position.

Our defense looks alright on paper.

I'd really like to see us add Bennett, Hardison, or Josh Shaw in the 4th.
