But show me a fan of any sports team on the planet that doesn’t. At least to some extent.

The backups have been better last 2 games. But it shows that IN THE TRENCHES any unknown that comes flying out of nowhere in preseason games is unlikely to have similar impact when real games start.

difference in starting OL/DL and backups in this league is the biggest disparity across any position as a whole In terms of average production. Even QB. There’s way more Chaz Green type players than there are Mike White type players. QBs typically perform at least somewhat acceptable if everything around them is good.

so it’s an enormous jump in competition for these guys who adjust their technique for 6 weeks in camp to beat backups and then raw strength and talent take over in September.

Agree, was not able to see the game but no one has mention his name today which leds me to believe he did not play well or else it would have been pointed out by now.

in preseason he was showing up and impressing, but once reg season starters, he's been a complete non factor. will he get better the more he plays ... or is this a sign of things to come ?
