Someone explain to me why shanahan is considered a great coach. The guy has 2 superbowls, yeah, but that was because of elway and terrel davis. Other than that, he does not have a lot to show for. Denver has not been a great team since elway left, so i don't know why shanahan gets so much credit.

To me, its the same thing as when gibbs came in to coach the skins. A lot of people thought his coaching philosophy would automatically translate into success, but he had not done it for so long. As it turned out, that little experiment failed miserably.

McNubb still throws dirt darts and Meangelo never could cover. The team is learning a brand new offense and switching to a 3-4 defense. They have no WRs and a stable of nags in the backfield. I don't see it.

They thought the Al Saunders' offense would be an immediate hit too.

Considering Shanahan's hiring. How little do they realize that the Broncos O could plug in anybody, and they would have a 1,000 yard rusher there because that Oline system has been in place forever. They don't even have a credible Oline in DC.

Sadly, it only makes it marginally harder to hate D. Hall now that I know he's ********. Marginally.
