Were not Dave Wannstedt, Butch Davis and Dave Campo supposedly defensive gurus while coordinators only to be be men with losing records as head coaches.

Wade Phillips is supposed to be a "defensive" genius as well and his head coaching record is two games above .500, we shall see what he does in Dallas, a place not lacking in talent unlike Buffalo and Denver were during his tenures.

unlike those other guys, Wade's Ds have generally done well, at least in the sack department, his Buffalo Ds were pretty talented

I dunno... Harrington is a better QB then the one they had last year.

I think the problem is obvious. He's only 5'10" while Ocho Cinco is 6'2". They're exploiting a mismatch.

He didn't "hate" to blitz. He just doesn't know how to DESIGN a blitz. He doesn't know how to ATTACK an offense w/o blitzing, and his blitzes suck.


Parcells made him blitz less and we actually did BETTER on D while Parcells was here. Still, I think Parcells' biggest mistake while he was in Dallas was keeping Zimmer. He should of got rid of him and switched to the 3-4 his FIRST year if that's what he was gonna do.

true, but they had some great players on their Ds, notice what happened to Campo's D when he was the HC when the talent was lacking in that department? my point is that Wade's Ds have generally done well wherever he's gone whether as HC or DC, he knows how to spot talent there and utilize it
