not to the coaching staff... they could have kept him -- keep in mind we cut one more than necessary. if there was anyone we really wanted to keep we could have done so

That sucks. I'm not shocked someone picked him up though. I'm more shocked the Cowboys didn't think he was good enough to be our 5th corner.

I will say this though. If Evan Olgesby is in the Cowboys plan I do like him as a better option than Smith at this point.

True however how much is expected from a rookie Dback? At the very least there was potential there. They thought so to the point they were willing to risk a 5th rounder on him.

With Smith and Mickens, Campo and others picked them for their big-play ability.

But you can't "make a big play" if you can't "get to the play."

Maybe he can outrun the Browns' kicker.

What I saw in the preseason games, was a safety who had below average, size, speed and instincts.

I think we'll get over it.
