I think we actually agree on this one. These one year, sell our soul, types have it all wrong. These Cowboys arent winning the SB next year. They werent last year and arent this year. If they do everything right over the next two off seasons then maybe in 2023 our window can start.

Gotta get Zeke off the books and revamp the running game. Revamp the Oline. Complete the rebuild of our new defense. Im actually happy to see them move on from Jaylon, Cooper, Collins. Over prices mistakes. And I'm glad they arent making new ones in FA.

Cowboys talent I would say is in the top 1/3 of the league but behind the true contenders.

Jerry doesnt seem to be able to get over the hump and form a complete team. Then you have the coaching issue. I like Quinn, but the other two seem to get out coached often. Far better then the Garrett years, but still lacking the top echelon of coaching.

So we have average coaching and a sub bar GM. That isnt the recipe for titles.

We have gotten lucky over the last 16 years of stumbling upon two very good top 10 QB's. But that luck is still not enough for Jerry it seems.

He does great in drafts, but fails miserably in FA. That includes resigning the wrong guys and overpaying the wrong guys. He also gets fleeced in trades.

So he is good at 1 out of the 3. Again, not a recipe for long term success.

The Dak era is being wasted just like the Romo era it seems. Rinse and repeat.

Agreed. And yah, they are the problem. FA is a disaster and if they every make a trade they get fleeced.

Trading a first for Cooper then letting him go for a 5th is Jones admitting he got duped.

Cooper was getting paid 17 million when we traded for him and he is getting 21 million when Cleveland traded for him. Its almost apples to apples and Jones got duped by 5 rounds.

Virtually no one is talking about a Super Bowl this year. Most see the problems, and are not expecting much. Some are trying to remain hopeful, which isn’t a popular view. A small handful are actually trying to feed the negative vibe, and that’s not a normal fan. That’s a troll.
