How is it possible that Newman gets hurt returning an interception, Felix gets hurt falling out of bounds, and Adams gets hurt missing a block?!?

Are we that soft, do we not take care of our athletes like other teams...what???

Yet friggin' carpenter stays healthy...and so does Proctor.

Maybe I am wrong (sadly it does occure evry 10 years or so), but I do not remember anything like this during the SB years...

Bo Jackson got hurt in mid juke move and it ended his career. I suppose that doesn't matter though since he didn't play for us.

Without knowing what's going on deep in the training rooms of Valley Ranch, I am afraid this is just blather. I think your focus is too narrow. This happens everywhere in the NFL. It is a blood sport.

Just take a look at the list of players across the NFL getting injured and IR'd. Teams should expect to lose 5-7 guys for the season, and a lot more injuries that affect the play, but don't take people out for the season.

I know two people who broke their feet stepping off a curb wrong. Should I look to their personal trainers, the shoe manufacturers, or the city road installers for the culprit?

Injuries in football are unacceptable! I demand someone's head!

BTW is there an update on Newman?

I don't think its the training staff, but has more to do with conditioning, or lack thereoff. Newman was about to pass out from returning a 27 yard interception. Choice was also gassed, but there was no one to replace him.

Micky mentioned this today on Talking Cowboys.

Newman came up a little lame after the TD. It looked like it might be a leg injury, any word on his health?

David Moore: He should be fine. He was winded after the run and was the recepient of some passionate congratulations by his teammates after the play. He needed oxygen once he got to the sidelines but there are no physical issues.

Training staff sucks. All of the office too. The receptionist and janitors are the worst.

Lets be honest, these guys work their bodies to the extreme and do many different things to increase flexibility with their muscle fibers, what do you expect is going to happen? Yes, a person should be in good physical condition but not as good as these athletes are in. Its no surprise that there are more injuries now than there were in say the 60-70-80's(just guessing) and guys get hurt doing absolutly nothing sometimes. Like Troy Aikmans injury with his calf, imo he probably worked it too hard during the week and it popped during the game. I popped my calf the same way. I started to run hills with my friend on a Thursday for the first time and we had a football tournamnet two days later, on the second play my calf went pop and stupid me played through the pain at QB(even though I didnt move and couldnt throw ovr 25 yards). I attribute that to the the training. I am a firm beilever that these guys do too many exotic exercises now instead of the basics and in doing so stretches the muscles to the point where there easily strained or even torn.
