I liked that.

Funniest thing I've seen in a long time... it kinda reminds me of my last dog, Bear... he was a cross between a Chow and a retriever of some kind, and was a rather unusual looking big dog with a long coat, fringes hanging off his hind legs but not his fore legs, fringes hanging off his ears...

And when I had the TV on and there was a police chase scene, with the sirens blaring, Bear would go sit in the middle of the living room, ears erect, head cocked to one side... after a second you'd hear a tentative little howl from him, then he'd break into full voice, howling along with those sirens... I swear that dog had perfect pitch, and could mimic any siren he heard...

So naturally, being the playful individual I am, every time a police chase came on the TV, I'd make a point of jacking up the volume... it was particularly entertaining the night I watched The Blues Brothers, with that lengthy chase scene at the end... I'd laugh and laugh and laugh, and Bear would have a good ol' time, "singing"...

I love dogs... they don't have a lick of sense...

My brother-in-law had a part Chow part Golden Retriever named Chuy. He had to put him down a few months ago. That was the best dog I have ever been around in my life. Craig agreed to watch the dog for a friend who was going to Europe for 2 weeks. When they came back Craig's family was so in love with that dog that they gave him to them.

Chuy did not bark unless it was someone strange. If you came in their back yard he'd come to see and he recognized people. If you were with someone he knew he'd wait to be introduced. He didn't lick and he didn't jump on people. He wouldn't come in the house even if the door was wide open and he would not leave the yard unless you told him to come on.

One time we had a big party at Craig's house and the fence was being rebuilt and there were about 6 really small kids. Chuy would not let those kids out of the yard. He herded them back to the play area all day. It was like having a free babysitter. We could have sent all the adults inside and those kids would have been fine.

One time some of the older kids wanted to sleep outside on the trampoline in their sleeping bags. The trampoline had a net that surrounded it so you could only get into it at the ladder. Chuy slept at the foot of that ladder all night.

Great dog.
