DEC 27 mock

No to PJ williams also. Sorry but I just don't value players on loaded teams. I downgrade them a round. Look at history and players that's been on loaded teams most of the time fail or never meet expectations. It's wast to look good when half your ream is an nfl team vs college teams.
That's why I don't like Bama LSU or FSU players in the 1st round.
I have never understood this line of thinking. You could probably build a competitive team with guys from just those three teams alone.

QB - Jameis Winston
RB - Jeremy Hill, Eddie Lacy
WR - Kelvin Benjamin, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham
TE - Nick O'Leary
OT - Andrew Whitworth, DJ Fluker
G - Chance Warmack, Trai Turner
C - Brian Stork

DE - Kiki Mingo, Kamerion Wimbley
DT - Michael Brockers, Marcel Dareus
OLB - Donte Hightower, CJ Mosley
MLB - Rolando McClain
S - Eric Reid, HaHa Clinton-Dix
CB - Antonio Cromartie, Patrick Peterson

Kinda weak in some spots but I think that roster could beat a lot of teams.

Ok you pick 1 player from each team and I wouldn't touch winston with a 100 ft pole.
Mingo is terrible to by the way.

Look at how many other players were drafted 1st round from LSU, Bama, and FSU that failed.
How do you know which one would hit. These guys like Barron and Kirkpatrick look alot better when they are playing with Hightower and Mosley. Upshaw looked alot better playing with a bunch if nfl talent vs average college players.

That's what I'm saying. You have alot of talent on one team makes mid level players look better. Mosley, McClain, can make average players look great.

Also some of the players ypu listed above have not lived up to their projection.
Fluker is average at best RT and was a top 12 pick. Have not lived up to a top 12 pick and niether has warmack. I live in nashville and titan gans here are calling that a wasted pick.
Mingo has been a near bust.
Trai Turner was a 3rd round pick. I'm talking about taking these guys 1st round. I wouldn't draft a Kirkpatrick, Barron, Warmack, Fluker on the 1st. These guys are average players that were over drafted because of the team they were on. A college ream full of nfl average players with a few real good players look alot better than they really are.

I like how you didn't put in the 1st round busts from these schools which is why I made my rule. Look up bama and LSU 1st round picks. Most turn out as bust or over drafted.

Treat Richardson
Mark Barron
Morris Claiborne
Barkivous Mingo

All early1st round picks that played on a loaded college team that made them look better than they really were.

Yea, I kind of got off on a tangent just b/c I thought it was interesting to build that team lol...and that was just off the top of my head there are probably better players, I would assume at DE.

But for every bust there is going to be a great player. And for every first round miss, there is going to be a 3rd round stud. The chances of missing in the first round are high for every school, there are busts from all over.

The rule of dropping a player a full round just because he went to Alabama just seems excessive. By that logic, Julio Jones, Patrick Peterson, Dareus, etc. are all second rounders. I can't buy into that.

And you're ignoring the first round hits...Dareus, Brockers, Jones, Peterson, Cromartie, Benjamin, Hightower, McClain, HaHa, etc. Just saying there are X number of busts from those schools and then writing off every player to come out after them is silly to me.

I'm not ignoring. I said in my original post that unless you can tell the guy is special. There are far more misses than hits.
Haha is to soo. To say he is a hit. He has had struggles this year.

Who is jones?

Julio. Sorry, Jones isn't necessarily the best description of a person.

Right he's like cooper. I will take cooper he's the special player that makes the average players look better than they really are and get drafted a round early.

Take Cameron Irving for example. Some are saying he is a 1st round pick because he was a decent OT and better center. But I say let's look at the team as a whole. He has 2 nfl caliber OGs also on his line. Winston who has escape ability and in an offense that throws quick passes. Irving is good but I don't think he is 1st round talent.
