Decaf coffee

Because we're trying to have another baby. Doctors recommend cutting back/eliminating caffeine when you are expecting, so I'm just getting a head start.

Instead of dropping coffee, just increase your lingerie and Barry White usage. :D

Good luck!

Coffee, but that's all I ever used it for. Gave up reg soft drinks for one calorie versions, but that "aspartame" stuff concerns me.

I ditched the softdrinks too. None at all. Gave up Gatorade too...... Stuff is just as bad as a soda, IMO. Drink ALOT more water. Now if I can just quit sniffin' glue............ ;)

I have a friend that has given up sugar completely and avoids dairy when possible. I don't know how she does it. Not that I overuse sugar, but it seems difficult to avoid.

I have heard of folks giving up sugar completely. Like you.....don't know how they do it. Dairy products too? Man, ya gotta live, right? I don't mess with the 2%, slim, skim milk crap either. Homogenized vitamin D, Baby! Livin on the edge!!!
:D

What kind of regular coffee do you like? Darker or lighter roast? Colombian, African, Indonesian? I can't specifically help you with decaf because I don't drink it, I'd rather just drink the real thing and enjoy it, and if I don't want the caffeine, just drink water or green tea.

Not that Starbucks is actually great coffee, but their Caffè Verona is actually pretty good. It is a bolder coffee and has sort of a chocolaty flavor to it. I buy that for the house (which I only drink on the weekends) and just purchase whatever bold they are offering when I pick up a coffee on the way to work.

Tell me about it, said the diabetic...

I'm down to two a day. Gave up sugar, too. All I add is a bit of 2% milk.

Dirty water at that point. :laugh2: It's unhealthy but coffee without half n half is just plain gross to me.

As to the subject I tried Gevalia Decaf to see if the expensive decaffeinated coffee is good, and it's still not the same. Something missing.

I've always been shocked at how many people drink decaf expressos. Blech.

My wife drinks those foofy drinks from Starbucks decaf, because caffeine gives her migraines. She say's they taste good, but even she wishes she could have regular coffee.
