IRVING, Texas – David DeCastro's initial visit to the Cowboys was cancelled because of severe storms two weeks ago, but the team was able to meet with the Stanford All-American at Valley Ranch recently, according to sources.

The storms prevented the Cowboys from meeting with their full complement of visitors, but they were able to add LSU defensive end Michael Brockers to the list for a visit today.

Today is the final day draft prospects are allowed to visit teams. The first round of the draft is April 26 with Rounds 2-7 on April 27-28.

Stanford OG David DeCastro recently paid a pre-draft visit to the Cowboys.

We don't usually do Rotoworld blurbs on specific pre-draft visits, but this one is notable because some draft analysts had written off DeCastro as a possible pick for Dallas at No. 14. The Cowboys have a long history of using first-round picks on players with whom they've visited before the draft. DeCastro's original visit was canceled, but he was able to reschedule.

I think DeCastro will be there at 14, and I'm starting to think it's quite possible. I will not complain. DeCastro is a good football player. I just wonder if Dallas thinks DeCastro can play center his rookie year.

That would take care of having to use a 3rd or 4th rounder on Blake or another guy.

He has not been late 1st round for quite awhile.

Nobody thinks he makes it past 20 and most think he is gone before 15.

Mike Lombardi mentioned DeCastro being an option for Dallas very recently, and he talked about the Bill Callahan fit. With defensive players like Barron, Upshaw, and Brockers lurking, DeCastro will still have competition. However, I think his chances have improved a little bit, and this visit is very interesting.

It's such a weak center class. I think if Dallas doesn't draft Konz, they will not draft a center.

I saw Jason Garrett on NFL Network talking about how well Upshaw was moving at his pro day. I thought that was interesting. I think Upshaw is the wildcard now.

Barron appears to be the favorite, but what if he isn't there?

What if Barron, Brockers, and Cox are gone before 14?

It could be Upshaw, Kirkpatrick/Gilmore, and DeCastro...

Poe didn't visit. Maybe, that is a smokescreen.... I don't know at this point.

The problem with that is a couple of teams behind us could take him, specifically the Eagles or Jets.

Nobody has said 14 is to early for him most people think there is no way he makes it past 16 without Cincy jumping all over the pick.
