The gif in question was a very fake rendering of a head exploding. Surprisingly, some felt it should have come with a warning label and complained to the moderators accordingly. Based on the responses you can figure out who.

If you're going to describe the head exploding GIF... You should give me a warning.

It's fun to imagine your avatar saying that as it walks away...it kinda work's given the context of your otherwise stupid response.
The only thing that was stupid is this thread. If you act like a fool you have to expect to be treated like one.

This thread was awesome...too awesome for some. Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to dial back the awesome to make it universally palatable. But I'm working on it.

If you think it was awesome that is up to you. I found it annoying. Just sayin. In fact, I dont see how this should even be posted on the main board.

It's the offseason. Not a whole lot directly related to the Cowboys that hasn't already been debated to death. I mean, we could always go back to your recommendation to trade Romo for high picks, if you prefer. I'm sure you came out of the thread smelling like a rose...lol

A poster like you could never understand the logic in a move like trading Romo. Its not short term enough for you. All I have to do is make a post saying Zeke is our savior of that we are winning the SB next year and I will get 100 likes. Im more interested in talking realistic football. Which becomes difficult right after the draft. Before the injuries pile up and the bullets start flying every pom pom waving cheerleader is having dreams of raising the lombardi trophy right now. Most of you will come back to earth once the season starts. Often times its sooner depending on what can happen..

Realistic? You honestly think Romo at this stage in his career who is a sack away from re-injuring his collarbone would actually garner not just one but two high draft picks? Seriously? That is what you define as realistic and logical? That thread alone is enough for me to not even bothering trying to converse with a fan, because I am realistic. I made an exception for you...you are welcome. You should probably get to know my work a little better before accusing me of being a short-term thinker.

My reasoning is two fold.

1. Romo is toast witin 3 years tops and could be sooner with his injury history
2. The Cowboys brass isnt good enough to assemble a championship team before his time is up.

I think Denver definitely would have given us their first round pick which was 31 for Romo this year. 2nd and a 3rd would probably also do it. It would have to be a team that has a shot to win it all but is missing a QB. Houston comes to mind. The Vikings come to mind.

We'll be lucky if we get two more seasons out of Romo, Having said that, I think the Cowboys could very well win a Super Bowl within the next two years with this team as is...provided they have Romo. Trade away Romo and the Cowboys could go years before they find a viable replacement. Second, I seriously doubt any team, even the Broncos who are a QB away, is going to given up high draft picks for a guy who has the injury history Romo does. Granted, they took a similar risk with Peyton, but 1. Romo is not Peyton and 2. They nabbed up Peyton in Free Agency; no high draft pick was required to get that deal done. But that is just my opinion...I certainly could be wrong.

Only a complete homer would say something so ridiculous that you think we can win a SB in the next two years. The odds are like 50-1. Possible, but not likely. Not with this defense and Garrett as the head coach.

I think they can...I'm not saying they will. Those are two different statements. Granted, the Cowboys will need some players to wake up on the defensive side of the ball..no question there...but it very well could happen.

Anything is possible, but Im not sure its worth talking about at this point. So much has to go right its just waaaaaay tooo early to be discussing that. If we are like 6-2 half way through the season, the run game is dominating, there are some surprises on defense, and Romo is healthy and looking great, then maybe its time for that conversation. But saying they have a shot even if that is remote is a little much for me. But no doubt people will discuss it anyway.

I completely understand your reluctance to accept that as a possibility at this point in the season; it is a bit early to be discussing that...unless of course your planning on trading away the one ingredient that is entirely necessary to get that done. Make no mistake, without Romo, it won't happen...that's the only reason I brought it up.

My mind set is that the Romo era is toast as far as winning a SB with Romo. In my mind the Cowboys threw away any last hope of that when they went for splash again in this draft. Now I am the #1 guy that wants a bell cow RB and wants to go back to smash mouth football with a dominant run game. But I dont feel this team can win it all with offense. They can have a good season for sure if Romo stays healthy, but when you face the best teams in the playoffs that have both offense and a great defense we will be toast. Had the Cowboys taken Ramsey, A pass rusher at #2, and then traded back into the 2nd round for Smith that would have been a total home run for the defense. In one season they would have shored up the defense.

Scandrick and Ramsey on the outside with Jones at safety would have been a formidable secondary. Lee and Jaylon at LB starting next year. And Lawrence, Gregory, and the 2nd round pass rusher at DE. You would have to think 2 out of those 3 would work out. I'm looking at the defense really coming together next year. We could have gotten Miller to run the ball with Morris in FA or gotten a RB with a high pick next year.

In my mind Jones completely blew this draft. Most of what he wanted to do went right before his eyes. So after the first round he had to scramble and gamble.

That being said if Zeke can be that huge difference maker we are hoping for maybe we can get the corner next year or the pass rusher next year. But it will be very difficult NOT having the #4 pick.
