davidyee;3105022 I don't trust Houck to have them ready for playoff ball in December.

Yeah, why would we trust an OL coach who has a couple of super bowl rings from when he was here before, and has coached a ton of pro bowl and hall of fame OL's over the years.

We're going to lose multiple games over of the next five. And because of that people will claim it's a December collapse. But the reality is, we have one of the toughest schedules over the next five games and all but one or two teams would drop multiple games over this span.

I dont think we'll finish 5-0 either, but reality is that other than the Washington game, what we face next month is basically what we'll face in January. We'll almost assuredly have to go 4-0 (3-0 minimum, if we got a bye) against those types of teams to win a championship.

What you're basically saying is that getting to and winning a Super Bowl is REALLY REALLY hard. And I agree. :)

Exactly. You can see it coming from a mile away.

Said it many times, but usually there are only four games in December. As Rainman pointed out, in 2007 we went 2-2 without even playing our starters in the last game, and everyone called that a collapse.

So basically, anything short of winning 75% of our games will be termed a collapse. Which is stupid, but it happens anyway.

Now maybe that will be different this year if people are going to count the January 3 game as "December" so that we have five games.

Personally, I don't give a damn as long as we make the playoffs and then do some good.

I don't think the our yearly December collapse will not happen this year because.

* The way our defense is playing, it will keep us in the games even if the offense doesn't start out great.
* We play 3 out of next 5 games indoors. There are some who think Romo doesn't play that well in cold weather. Maybe he doesn't but since we play 3 games indoors, so the cold weather factor shouldn't matter as much.
* We are healthier than we have been past few seasons going in to December.
* We have better depth overall this year.
* We play the Deadskin again.
* Giants are looking very beatable.

I think we win at least 3 more games and 11-5 will get us in the playoffs. It might be good enough to win the division.

you kidding me what you mean might be good enough??? eagles and g-men have 5 losses already hell 10-6 will win the division maybe 9-7

I won't say that it wont' happen this year...we face a pretty stiff schedule ahead, and to keep up our current pace would be quite an accomplishment...

...but if it doesn't....I think its going to be a testament to the work the FO did in the off season. Bringing in guys like Brooking, Sensabaugh, and Olshansky has seemingly transformed the ATTITUDE of this team.

Eagles have 4 losses. They are known to do well in December.

Romo grew up in Wisconsin and played college football in Illinois, so to think he doesn't play well in cold weather is crazy...
