***December is here we will lose lose lose thread*** (merge)

no surprise.

we'll probably beat only the Chargers (home)... they'll be riding high on the "all is fine" wade-the-loser train and collapse the final games after NO TOTALLY dismantles wade's cupcakes.

Coaching staff is too stupid or stubborn to make adjustments. Can't even make an obvious adjustment in the kicking game. The attitude of the coach is, "we will be just fine." How can you make adjustments with that attitude. Until there is a change at the top we will continue to lose when it counts. I'd rather have Jim Zorn at this point, at least he is a sympathetic character, Wade Failipps just inspires complacency and disgust. :(

Have you actually been paying attention to the Chargers lately? They are straight pounding teams. Even in a set up "let down" game against the Browns they showed up and whipped them soundly. This team wouldn't have that kind of balls if they were raised in a Spaulding factory.

Sunshine crew at it's finest.
We just whipped the Raiders last week, is your memory that bad?

We can beat the Chargers, their defense is very vulnerable. If Romo play ike he did today and the defense steps up we win.

I'm tired of staying positive and believing in this team. Now they're gonna have to show me. They've come up small way too many times and it happened again. The Giants were just begging for someone to kick dirt on them and we couldn't do it. I still think we beat San Diego next week and make the playoffs, but I think the loss today damaged the team's psyche. From now on out, I'm a "wait and see" guy. I think we're a good team, but I have zero confidence in them.

The question I have for you is why you gave this team the benefit of the doubt to begin with? I went into a show-me mode last December, so I never really cared about anything that happened until this game. This team is heartless, so it's no surprise to me that they are going to wilt again.

Beats the hell out of me. Guess I just love being disappointed. S&M without the S?

It's been happening every year, but...but....just don't call it a trend. It must just be a yearly coincidence.

And no, I don't think there is anything magical about December or January. The issue is that is when contenders step up and turn it up a notch. And for whatever reason, the Cowboys just can't seem to do that. Obviously in the 5-11 seasons, they just weren't talented.

But the last 5-6 years, they've been good enough to have winning records in Sept, and Oct and Nov. So what changes from then to Dec? The only logical answer is that is when "winners" turn up the intensity and pressure. We apparently either can't play with an increased intensity or don't have heart, or don't have enough key players with can play under pressure situations. Repeated failure during this time can then become psychological and cause the team to press and wait for the shoe to drop.

Whatever the cause, it keeps happening and until they break the trend they'll just be considered pretenders.

Mods are being a little overzealous with the merge function tonight.....:D

In retrospect, they knew there was going to be a lot of posting in this thread. So it is a good call in my opinion...

0-2

Like we expected anything else:explode:

Hello, 3rd place in the division? Could be so by the end of the day.

Well, we had our chance today. We left ten points off the board and SD made 3rd and long look like nothing all day.

Doesn't get any easier with NO next week, but I'm so used to this in Dec. it doesn't affect me anymore.

I'd like to think he understands now, but then denial runs deep in this one
