Apart from lobbying the league to have a 'bye month' for December, what are some thoughts on what has to change for Dallas to not succumb to the December slide?

Does it start in training camp?...Is Camp Cupcake to blame (Happened under Parcells too)?...Too much predictability and an inability to made adjustments late in the season?...Or are there leadership issues afoot?
