I cant believe they got such good pressure with a 3 man rush...OL was decent all day but came up short when it counted as well

Will you guys just stop it already. Tony made a bone head play because that is what Tony does, and Garrett should always be blamed and Jerry sucks at all things football. Geez get with the program and try to keep up.

B S you just don't watch or know the game.

It was typical of a cowboys team. Amazing protection all day, but yet a 3 man rush gets you in the end. Not to mention the sack the play before.

Thanks for starting a thread that might actually give fans a lesson on football & what is going on during plays that might go unnoticed. It's much easier to call out Romo for being a choker & whatever else they would like to say, instead of being able to see that he made another good read, it appeared Escobar had enough space to fit the ball in there for a 11 yard completion which would have set up a 3rd & 5 but a flukey play happens with Tyron Smith & Leary. The next thing people will say though is he should've been aware of his surroundings, so it will fall on deaf eyes & ears.. The bottom line is Romo played his butt off & we really shouldn't have to make any excuses for the guy, 48 points should get the job done every day. Sadly if we are forced to punt there, the defense would've allowed the Broncos to march right up the field, instead they had a short field & all the defense had to do was keep the Broncos from getting to the 1 yard line & they failed.

It's easy to pick it apart after the fact. I'm not a quarterback and never have been, so it's hard to blame romo.

But it's also hard not to be a little disappointed with the decision. I know if we don't pick up a first we lose the game. Period.

Escobar is not the guy i am forcing it to in that situation though....

It was not forcing the ball, Escobar was open but when Romo was unable to put any zip on the ball it had little on it and the LB was able to make the play. If Romo is able to drive into the pass it should be complete unless Escobar flat out drops it. The play is open

It's easy to not be disappointed in the decision as it was a good one. The guy was open, it wasn't a forced pass at all.

Huh? I'm pretty sure I saw Tony run for his life & pull off some Houdini plays. Protection was good at times but all day, is a stretch.

Lets be honest. You don't get much better protection than what tony did yesterday. Yes, he pulled some plays out of nowhere, but for the most part he had great protection.

Romo see a 3 man rush, he has 5 blockers. He never imagined that those 3 rushers would completely anialate our blockers and put them in Romo's lap.

BINGO, Moving the Chains on Sirrus NFL talked in depth about this....3 man front leaves 8 Broncos in coverage. Peyton Manning faced the same looks all day and dumped it off to the RB, I believe they said 7 out 9 times on the last drive. Why didn't Romo see 8 Broncos in coverage and go to his RB's is the big question? Maybe Romo did not see it, bad read or just not processing information correctly in a high stress situation. Only Tony Romo knows why he did what he did....I don't blame Romo and not knocking him....but the guys on Sirrus merely stated that is the difference between Peyton Manning, Drew Bree's who did the same thing against the Bears and Tony Romo .....its all about processing pre-snap reads.

But then again I have to wonder how the OL couldn't stop a 3-man rush.....A lot or mistakes in that last series for the Cowboys. In the end, Peyton showed why he is one of the greatest QB's to ever play the game.

Is anyone else tired of having to explain another LOSS with Romo at the helm? For 6 LONG years we have put up with a better than average, not by much, QB who fails again. Yes there have been other issues also. But a LEADER LEADS. Romo cannot and we will never win a Super Bowl while he is the QB of the Dallas Cowboys.

I have no doubt if Romo dumps that to Murray he runs right into the same linebacker that picked off the pass for a two yard gain. we would still have been in third and long. playing it safe is not what got us to that point in the game. it was just unlucky and bad OL that did him in.

I don't think there is a single instance outside of the two zone blitzes where we rushed only three guys so that seems like complete bs.

We will never win a super bowl with a defense giving up 51 points & not forcing a punt ALL GAME.

That is exactly why he didn't do it, complete it to Escobar and its 3rd and manageable but if you throw it to Murray it's 3rd and long.

Everyone here would be going nuts had he dumped it off to Murray and he gained two yards and we had to punt a play later.
