Did anyone hear how that transpired? I thought that it was one of the worst decision I've seen since watching the 'Boys since 1971.
Our punt return unit is hell-bent on costing us a game. So many boneheaded mistakes this year.
I thought it was the right call, they were pinned back and we couldn't move the ball at the time.
**** happens.
I was so stoked when had them pinned back like that. Then as they snapped the ball I thought "Don't run into the kicker" and bingo. Then every repercussion from the penalty ran through my head and I thought "if they score I'm going to kill someone". Good think the last thought didn't come to fruitation.
So what you are saying is it is your fault that they ended up with a 99.9 yard drive.
What happened exactly with Detroits 10 yard punt towards the end of the game? That was weird.
I had no problem with trying to block the punt.
Running into the kicker only cost us 5 yards and a first down. The defense needs to be able to stop an offense from driving 89 yards. If we block the punt, it really changes the game. And trying to block the punt doesn't automatically mean you will run into the kicker if you don't get there in time.
To me, trying to block the punt was a no brainer. Just the execution wasn't there (especially missing an easy tackle on 3rd down on Stafford).

Why not go for it? If they're pinned deep and you can rely on your PR to make a fair catch in good territory, I like the chances of that gamble... assuming refs aren't *****.
