What would you honestly think about trading a 5th for Dee Milliner?

Former Top-10 Pick and with the Jets acquiring Revis and Skrine while also still being in competition for Antonio, I feel he could be had for a real bargain price.

I hate to go all Mickey here but isn't it a red flag that the guy was so heavily invested in and they are still spending 90 million on corners?

Bowles defense has 5-6 dbs that are on the field at times w out linebackers. So I doubt they trade him

Jets aren't trading their first round pick

They signed Revis to a mega deal with $39 Million GUARANTEED
They signed Buster Skrine
There is talk that they are now the lead dog in the hunt to sign Cromartie.

IF they have those three...they might just trade their former first round pick...It is clear they don't think he is the a Top CB for them if they are signing 3 other CBs.

Now...how much they would take for him is a different story.

He hasn't played to the level of being a top ten pick, but he hasn't been a scrub either. He's been injured his first few years so his sample size is relatively small.

He's only 23 and I doubt the Jets will let him go as cheaply as we'd like.

The Jets had no corners last year and had 20 million to spend under the cap, that was the complaint last year with Jets fans, why didn't they sign some corners last year, so I highly doubt the Jets are trading Millner regardless if Revis was signed...

They will have 3 (if they sign cromartie) AND a former 1st round pick in Dee...who was there last year.

It's not just Revis that was signed...that was the point.

However if they want to put the bulk of their money in their Secondary for the future...so be it.

He's finished. He just tore his achilles. I don't think there has ever been a corner that recovered from a torn achilles and played on the same level pre-injury, let alone made progress and got better. Plus he is generally made of glass, he's always injured, always some sort of hamstring issues as well. No, thanks.

If not for all that he'd be one of the bright young corners in the game a la Patrick Peterson (1-2 yrs ago).

Maybe the better question is "what would the jets think about taking a fifth for Millner (BTW, JJ's got more than one kind of "fifth")?"

sounds a lot like Dallas with, Claiborne, Carr and Scandrick doesn't it and Dallas still needs two more since Claiborne is unreliable ....Jets see their division, the Patriots spread you out, Bills have weapons on offense and up and coming Miami so when you start with nothing and what Bowles will want to do bringing pressure from everywhere, I see the need for four and five corners for the Jets, especially when you started with an often injured one who's only 23.

Revis is better than Claiborne, Carr and Scandric combined...so no...It does not sound like Dallas.

But I digress and let you win the argument in good fashion and a fair thee well attitude.

Coming off of an Achilles tear? He was brutal before the injury. No thanks.
