yeah it'll be interesting as you basically have two undersized but plus athletes who are both really more weak side backers. I see it being a bit more of a feast or famine approach week to week depending on the personnel we're playing.I am curious to know how Winters fits in the new scheme. Hopefully, he is much better than anything they trotted out last season at MLB/ILB.
I would also like to know the plan for Overshown as the other ILB/off ball LB.
....yeah, I'm getting same feeling. The trade that no one talks about. The 49ers are going to regret trading Dee Winters to the Cowboys.
Way to go, Jerry and Stephen!
Their fans are already melting down over this. The 49ers are going to regret trading Dee Winters to the Cowboys.

Teams happen to do that the Cowboys do it too it drives fan bases crazy but at the time teams are believing they're making the right choice but think about the 49ers They also gave up on Alzeez Shahir whatever his name is from over there in Houston who just got big money, So yes they have been known to get rid of some good players that's why this one whenever someone says that wow they got rid of them for a reason for a fish well some guys have been cut for nothing not just a 5th round pick and then they go and make it big time like the linebacker in Houston But they have had great players ahead of them so it happens sometimes I mean Greenlaw and Fred Warner were one of the best 12 punches in the NFL for a long time......yeah, I'm getting same feeling. The trade that no one talks about.
He’ll be our starting MLB with Overshow at WLBI am curious to know how Winters fits in the new scheme. Hopefully, he is much better than anything they trotted out last season at MLB/ILB.

The 4-2-5 alignment has been confirmed as our base by Parker, but it’s almost certain the starting lineup looks like this
Edge: Rashan Gary
DL: Quinnen Williams
DL: Kenny Clark
Edge: Donovan Ezeiruaku/Malachi Lawrence
LB: DeMarvion Overshown
LB: Dee Winters
CB: DaRon Bland
CB: Shavon Revel/Cobie Durant
CB/S: Caleb Downs
S: Jalen Thompson
S: Malik Hooker/P.J. Locke
Yeah, Parker said he’s going to put the dot on several guys and try it out.I don't doubt that will be the starting lineup. What I wonder about is Dallas starting two Will LBs (Winters and Overshown) on the field at the same time on 1st down or 2nd/3rd and short.
Maybe Winters misspoke when describing what he was told his responsibilities would be in the CP defense or maybe I misinterpreted what he said CP is asking of him as being the same as what a Will LB is asked to do.
What was clear is that Winters said he has never had green dot responsibilities except a few times in practice at San Fran. He also said he would do whatever it takes if asked to be the green dot.
Winters was a 6th rnd pick so early on he played ST and some sun pkg, last year he started every game and was a pretty solid player. He should get even better with playing time. Playing time wise he’s like a year 2 playerI am curious to know how Winters fits in the new scheme. Hopefully, he is much better than anything they trotted out last season at MLB/ILB.

Btw, it seems the plan is to ready Barham to be the Mike in 2027. That’s where he’s playing now at the rookie minicampI don't doubt that will be the starting lineup. All we need is solid just someone that can do their job knows where they're supposed to line up doesn't play hero ball you know back when we had Hitchens and Wilson and I can't remember who else was in that group but I going back all the way that far I can't remember having a solid consistent healthy group in a really long time and that's what we're missing...I am expecting good things from Winters in this defense. I still wouldn't be mad if the Cowboys went after B Wags though to help strengthen the LB unit, but if the front office feels good with the current pieces we have to "dance with who we brought"
I liked what I saw from him. He plays hard. He plays fast. Hopefully you are right that he is an ascending player.Winters was a 6th rnd pick so early on he played ST and some sun pkg, last year he started every game and was a pretty solid player. He will not start there Dee Winters will get that chance They're using a guy like Liafu They're gonna give a second chance in there just during camp the preseason games.. Trust me they're going to have a lot of pieces working out in a lot of different areas But yes Basham I was watching this tape and it was bugging me who reminded me of his body type his aggressiveness, brady James..Btw, it seems the plan is to ready Barham to be the Mike in 2027. He's a former Terp so I know he can play off ball LB. I liked the pick and hope he hits the ground running in whatever role CP and the Cowboys put him.Btw, it seems the plan is to ready Barham to be the Mike in 2027. That’s where he’s playing now at the rookie minicamp
