Samual is very close to washed. He is not a good traditional route running receiver. His talent is YAC, and his body is already showing decline.

For a 5th rounder, Washington gets to pick up his 17 million contract.

Player to player its no comparison, Deebo is better and just looking at the 5th vs the 4th it makes the trade for Mingo look worse. However, you also have to consider the cap number the Commanders are obsorbing and fact he has 1 year remaining vs 2.5 years for Mingo at a low cap hit in the deal as well.

Now I would have gladly taken a 1 year rental for Deebo for a 5th knowing it's plausible I get a comp pick back in the future and just on the hook for 17-18 million a year. But the Mingo trade was a very different scenario for a player 1 year removed from being a 2nd round pick, with 2.5 years remaining on his contract and showing some promise during year 1. I still think it was an odd trade I wasn't a fan of at the time, but certainly not apples to apples with the Deebo trade.

All these people getting worked up over a rapidly declining Deebo with a 21m cap hit and question mark as to whether he can even function outside of Shanahan’s system is amusing!
 
lol and we gave up a 4th rounder for a bump lol Jerry and Company are terrible at trades and contracts.
 
You all need to stop thinking about 2 or 3 years from now. The Skins are going all in THIS year to win it all. We made the NFC Chamionship game. It is all in in on the rookie contract from here the next 5 years.
 
Somewhere in the annals of this board I predicted this I believe....plain as day what WFT was going to do this off season. Just wait, they ain't done, nor will Filthy or the Giants
