Deebo Samuel traded to Washington

Deebo will be lethal with Kingsbury. Guy will be doing crossing routes with YAC over and over…..

NFCCG last year and still trying to improve. The Commodes don’t know what they’re doing to their salary cap. Cap hell awaits after a couple SB runs.

I LOVE MELT DOWNS.

Often injured and if Jerry did this. The same would say ... Jerry is dumb, he is not worth $21 million per year.

That is Osa money right there.
It’s $17.5 million as has been pointed out several times. It’s a fair gamble on a guy that can be fantastic with YAC in Kliff’s quick pass attack-and he can rush the ball some if needed. He’s an expensive complementary piece for only one season that he will be playing with the thought of landing a new contract next year.

If they don’t re-sign him they might get an equal comp pick in return. And it only cost one year of money. Doesn’t sound like Higgins is going to hit FA-so high end receivers sound like they will not be available without injury questions this FA period.

Deebo is great but hurt often and owed a ton of money.

That's why it only took a 5th. He comes with a ton of risk.

Is there an over under on how fast Dak is going to develop another season ending "injury?"
They better draft another quarterback, meaning one with some potential. Getting one in the later rounds won't cut it. Dak is probably gonna get hurt. If he doesn't even take a hit, he can get hurt.

I am not saying it was a bad trade. But it is not in the best interest of Dallas right now with more important holes to fill.

Fans get all upset over trades like this. Dallas can't trade for every player out there as some seem to think.
I am not defending the FO. As we all know too well, they make some very poor decisions. But I am ok with them not doing this one.
If they did, I would also be ok with it as well.

Osa money?

LOL, no sane person would sign Osa for 20+ but of course we will
That was what I meant. They are offering that to Osa. Which is a bigger need than WR.
I hope they do not cave in, but as you said, they will.

I posted several times in other threads. They can use that money, and get 2 equally productive players.
Therefore filling two holes with decent players.

I don’t have that answer. I just know Deebo isn’t the improvement we would’ve needed. We need some interior defensive help and some linebackers…we have holes for sure. 21 million on a receiver who stays hurt and at the end of his career….we got that in Brandon Cooks….
Barkley is an oft injured running back. Sometimes you have to take a shot. Who here really cares about Deebo and Saquon? When do we get to discuss a guy the Cowboys sign?

Yeah he won’t play a full year and isn’t worth his salary, but they have the cap space and he may help get them over the hump.

Maybe not is also in play, but at least they are TRYING to win.

Jerry and kid are trying to keep their heads above water while never having a bad season (even though they still happen).

This deal made no sense for Dallas. Why? Because they aren’t close to winning and this is a final piece type of move. Pretty sure I’d rather be Washington.

I don’t think Dallas fans are upset with not getting Deebo. They are upset that Washington makes a relatively low investment on a guy that looks great in complimentary roles-while Dallas gives a close to top 100 pick on a guy that could not even break onto the field (on a terrible Carolina team that was all too willing to hit the eject button on him) because they liked him pre-draft.
