Ive noticed a lot of opposing players celebrating on our end zone stars this yr. Too bad we dont have someone like a teague or even emmitt to show them that wont be tolerated.
Then again our players are probably to scared of getting a penalty/fined.

I wear my dallas cowboys hat every day at defend the star accordingly :p

i agree....when T.O. first did it years ago...it was unheard of....and Teague let him know.....now it seems to happen every home game and no one even mentions it anymore.......:banghead: .....the pride in this franchise is gone sad to say

Meh. The way to defend the endzone stars is to keep them out of the endzone. Now if someone decides to go to the center one, I want someone to go all George Teague on them.

That's exactly how I feel. If you let a team score, you deserve to get whatever they are allowed to do within the rules. If they run to the center, that's disrespectful.

It's flat out taunting.
Cowboys' players would be flagged in a heartbeat for a celebration as such.

Yep.

I'm sick of seeing it. Too bad the players don't feel the same.

It may be taunting, but it is in the endzone and the player did not go the ground...

If the Cowboys would retaliate, there would be a penality.

Keep the other team from scoring, then you stop all that nonsense.

And I agree with that sentiment.

Again, the team doesn't care. That's why Eli Manning and David Garrard can throw for 4 TD's and that's why these guys are able to be as disrespectful without fear of retribution as they have been.

And a 15 yard penalty to send that message would be well worth it....again, IF the defense cared enough to keep these guys out of the end zone.

Wrong...we complain about stopping penalties and you want them to commit one just because? Would it be well worth it to give the other team better field position so that they can score again?

BOO HOO, the team doesnt care, and im going to point out ever instance.

Come on, you know the league is all over this team, until Harrison kills someone he never gets a penalty, if a Cowboy goes out and tackles someone BECAUSE you think its disrespectful that they are doing something on a star on a field that doesnt mean much during most of the year.

Come on, start looking up the word respect, i notice thats a word that gets thrown around and the least looked up word in the dictionary. If it bothers you that much dont watch the freaking game.

These guys to sit on the bench make 100,000 grand plus, stepping on a start that people bleed, tear into with their cleats, throw up on and lord knows what else and thats bothering you. Oh dear lord how this country needs thicker skin.

the players don't have pride playing for this franchise like that anymore. seriously they could careless.

Teams are gonna score on us, regardless of how good we are. And they will celebrate on the star.

There is no "keeping them out", so get used to it. If they didn't want them doing it, they shouldn't have put stars in the endzone.

Yea i doubt we will be getting any shutouts anytime soon.

I would suggest taking the helmets with the star out of the endzone. I think it is extremely disrespectful. League does nothing about it. Jerry should, although he poops on the star daily.

Well now they can't take them off, makes them look weak.

Well, if it was up to me, i would take the star off the players helmets. They have not earned a right to wear it.

There is nothing to prevent the other team from continuing the celebration, other than stopping them from scoring. And being hit while wearing pads isn't much of a punishment or a deterrent, unless done with intent to injure/end a career.

In the end, it'd attract opponents to celebrating on the star to get our defense flagged, ejected, fined, and suspended.

This team shouldn't have the privilege of wearing the star on their helmets until they can at least win another game. Let's harken back to training camp rules. You're all UDFAs from this point.

All a pipe dream, I'm afraid.

:hammer:

This is the correct answer, and this thread should end right here. These heartless, gutless players have been crapping on the star all season long, which is far worse than anything an opposing team has done.
