We all agree Westbrook is the key with them...he always is. But I do believe Pac has the quicks, athletecism and ability to cover this guy. Nobody shuts him down: he's too good, but limit him from running wild and really forcing McFlab to throw to those garbage wR's of his. It would obviously help if TNew is back, but even if he isn't I can see Scandrick and/or Jenkins covering one WR and Henry taking the other. Any of the four could take a shot at LJ Smith, but much like last week with Winslow, if its a passing down in our nickel, it'll probably be Henry because he's big enough to do it. Whatever the matchups turn out to be, we at least have some viable options: and they aren't named Jacques Reeves. :D

I think Zach Thomas might be a better otion to play watchdog over Westbrook.

I was waiting for this thread. I do not think it is a bad idea, but we would end up with almost every active corner on the field at times. If we can work it out in some packages I would be down to see us try it out.

I wouldn't think Zach would be quick enough at this point to cover him...but he looked plenty quick against the Browns, so............hopefully he gets a nice lick or two on him. It's hard to hit Westbrook, but you've got to make him pay and/or think twice about tippy toeing all over the place.....

I don't know if you really have to try and hit him. I feel like he is almost unstoppable in the open field one on one. IMO the key to stopping him is to slow him down and not miss. Wait for help or make him try and juke you for a second or two.

It's actually reverse. If you blitz, you are going to be in far more scenarios where a fast gamebreaker has a chance to take it to the house.

I'm not advocating that we play conservative, but the more you blitz, the less you have in coverage and if the blitz is beat, they are gone.

Keep the football smart, Thomas as a spy on McNabb/Westbrook. We need Adam's speed on young D. Jackson.

I think Adam Jones should put cryptonite in his pants and then shadow Westbrook. That'll slow them both down!
