Defenders on Netflix now

The Defenders started on Netflix today.

So curious, what was with the ironfist hate? I enjoyed it. Thought it was still a pretty good watch, not as good as the other series but solid. Granted I didn't know much about him to begin with.

Iron Fist was supposed to have a martial arts motif, and the martial arts action was terrible. Choreagraphy subpar. Even if they were trying to paint some other sort of story on top of it, the martial arts champion of the Defenders should have decent chops! It had the worst of all the series.

I quit around episode 7, just did not care enough to find out what happened. Hope The Defenders rekindles things.

No idea what this is. When you say Defender, this is what I think of.

Defender was awesome!! Glad to see they made a TV show about it but still prefer the old arcade game

I binged it with my wife. We enjoyed the series but the end was pretty flat.

At the end of the day, nothing really happened.

The amusing thing is that my wife asked, "Why doesn't anyone call the Avengers?" and "Tony Stark doesn't know this is going on?"

We realized the reason no one would call the heavy hitters is that the schemes at play here are completely childish. It's like calling the DEA on your daughter's weed dealer.

Thor's in space fighting the Hulk, meanwhile Daredevil is trying to figure out if he likes his paralegal or not.

The show was a good mashup of the four hero series. I thought eight episodes was too condensed though.

Hope anyone watching the final episode waited for the end credits. There is a mini-spotlight on The Punisher mid credits.

Yeah it was really short IMO.

Which is weird because With the exception of the first season of Daredevil (10 episodes)...the rest characters shows were 13 episodes and the defenders only was 8.

Find that odd as well.

However to be fair...Iron fist probably would have been better at 8-10 episodes instead of 13...felt that one dragged on to long.

I liked Iron Fist a lot more than Luke Cage. I thought the latter was pretty dull and uninteresting for the most part. The biggest problem with Iron Fist was that the guy playing Danny was just too whiny. But Jessica Henwick was nice to look at (Rosario still isn't bad either), so it had that going for it.

As far as series go, I enjoyed the Jessica Jones series the most.

Luke Cage just hooks up with all the woman. I figured that trend would continue in the Defenders series and sure enough, they didn't waste time getting to it. Over all I liked season 1 of the Defenders series. My criticisms are the series was short, lacking in ominous villains... I just didn't buy Sigourney Weaver's role. And the ending was senseless. I'm hoping there is a season 2 that justifies season one's ending.

Jessica Jones next season is in production and wrapping up soon. Slated for a 2018 release date.

I thought Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist all dragged on too long. Even season 2 of Daredevil could have been better if it was condensed. Daredevil season 1 got it right. Plus it was just better than the other ones.
