After watching the NFL these days, old school football (Defense and Rushing the football) just doesnt cut it......Offense wins games....Bengals, Broncos, Colts, Chargers all have great offenses and average defenses....With that said and the draft we had last year, its time to work on the O and make us a great team, not good team.....Qickest way to that is one guy...we know who????

Terrell "Mr Poison " Owens.....he changes everything, I mean everything!!!!! Is the reward worth taking the risk!!!!!

Oh NO WAY am falling for this again! Sorry-b/w Parcells' and Payton's bone-headed playcalling and getting TO, I'm happy with the former. Thank You.

While I agree that offense is where it's at nowadays....with the exception of the Bears, there is no way that I would take T.O. willingly. The guy also can be a teams downfall.

It's a "pick your poison" kinda dilemma...one that I choose to stay away from.

The last five Super Bowl winners have been Baltimore ( running & D ), Tampa ( running & D ), New Enland ( strong D and last imprvoed thier team by getting a strong runner) .

You may have a point at the end of the season but for now the last five winners say it's about the D.

Lest everyone here is forgetting that the Colts' D is pretty darn FINE this year.

And despite being a bit vulnerable, Cincy's D is extremely opportunistic.

Thats very true Peyton himself has said the D has improved and he's changing more plays to run's then he ever has.

You must be kidding. T.O. has destroyed 2 teams already complaining about the QB. Do you think he would have made a difference in yesterday's game? When he had time at all, Bledsoe was out of kilter and the rest of the time he had no time. T.O. is not the answer; better OLinemen is the answer, and a QB that hasn't been hit so hard in the past that it lacerated his kidney (or was it it his spleen?).

Anyway, Drew has been gunshy ever since. You could see it in his play in Buffalo and now here. He has good reason to be, but we need somebody that hasn't had that unfortunate experience or that can shake it off, and not start looking for the pass rush instead of his receivers.

FWIW-in week 1 against SD, Drew was smacked around REAL good, but managed to light it up quite a bit.(300+ yards + 3 or 4 TDs)

Frankly-SD's pressure was worse than the Giants' yesterday. What the heck happened?

From what I gather, Drew is only good for first 8 games a season. Maybe we should have kept Vinnie and have him play the last 8 games.

Perhaps it's just an accumulation effect. It was only that one game so mentally he isn't as frazzled. However, he's been consistently pressured over a long period of time now. He's even anticipating pressure that isn't even there at times...

The only time Bledsoe had a COMPLETE season was in '96-when Chris Palmer was brought in by Parcells in NE to clean up his mechanics, which actually made a huge difference. Of course, they went to the Super Bowl that year. Isn't Palmer currently unemployed now?

But still-QBs are taught just that-ANTICIPATE pressure, and STEP INTO your throws. Sure-the OL played poorly the other day. However-there were times when Drew DID have time and throwing lanes. Even Tom Jackson said his p/f was no excuse.

Drew will pick it up. We just need to get our OLine in check. Thank god the Chiefs dont have a great pass rush.

I think we can win 3 of the last 4 games. Carolina's D-Front is going to cause havoc on us. Peppers and Rucker

Beside character concerns, Owens wants money, money better used on O line.

....It would take a ridiculousy insane package, but Id almsot be tempted to trade Marion Barber for a 3rd round pick which would help in a Reggie bush package, easily the biggest playmaker available, line him up at WR, return kicks ect.

Im thinking #1
SF,Houston,Jets,GB all would take him

the package to tradeup would be way too much considering how everyone wants him, but like I said, it would be tempting

Give me a real strong defense and an average offense over a real strong offense and an average defense any day of the week.
