Consider how teams play for some QB's better than others.

Look back at how WAS lifted their game once Griffin was out and Snyder was mostly responsible for that. Look at them now with Heinicke instead of Wentz.

Do we think football players are immune to what these QB's get paid and the treatment they receive? They're human and susceptible to everything that entails.

Prescott is getting paid more per game than most of the players on the team will make for the season. That's why we hear ex players/analysts make comments about how QB's risking it fires up their teammates. That is actually Daniel Jones' greatest attribute, his play inspires his players because he sacrifices his body. Now, if he's getting paid 35M a season, do they feel the same way? Dunno, they are all human.

But I gotta say, I do not like any QB even insinuating it was another player's fault but his own. That is his job and why he gets the big bucks. He takes the heat and he takes the fall just like the HC.

Excellent post. It's unlikely to just be a coincidence.

I think it has to do with the way the team likes to play offensively.

Mike and Moore are pass-first guys. Even this year those close to the team have given Brian Schottenheimer credit for the development of the run game. Both M’s don’t have a feel for nor a desire to be run-first. No matter how much they say it it’s not in their DNA if you look at their football lives.

It’s a double whammy, because even when your O plays well and you come out firing you score quickly and allow the other team to stay with their gameplan and run. Our defense also gets more aggressive when they see us score quick and fast.

If it doesn’t work and we don’t score quick, the margin of error to win is so slim. That’s why so many of our games have late game runs that get us close enough but don’t result in enough wins.

This is just a much looser style of play than when Rush played. Reign this thing in on both sides and let’s play to what we are, not to what they want us to be.

I think it’s clear Dak is a better QB than rush and anyone who thinks otherwise in terms of talent is just objectively wrong. The advantage this team had with Rush is they knew they were forced to be who they were, they didn’t have the luxury of trying to be who they want to be. Moore, Mike, and Jerry for that matter want to see big plays on O and an aggressive D that is constantly in position to play the pass.

Who truly knows what Dak’s role is in that as well, but all I know is if this staff can finally get it through their heads that the style we play with Rush plus Dak’s ability is the highest ceiling for complimentary football then we are gonna come up short.

So your contention is the offense is better and putting up more everything with Dak but the defense decided to stop playing because they are jelly?

Is that your point?

Not that Wentz could score or do it when it mattered but Heineke can?

Not only that but the guy is always hated on his teams, documented fact. Dak is beloved...also documented fact.

the quarterback should be an extension of the coach. They should be so in sync they’re practically reading each other’s minds. The quarterback absolutely can talk to the defense, whether it be get me a stop and I got 7 coming up I promise. Or “we’re gonna run it down their throats and bleed the clock just now big plays” or whatever it is.

I remember romo would tell his linemen to not hold. You can let a guy through and I’ll avoid them just don’t get a penalty.

so I think Kellen Moore went up tempo to help his quarterback think less? Ya know, just get a flow of things and more let the defense out maneuver him with matchups. But it killed our defense. Micah is only human he can’t go 100% on every play. It shouldn’t have to be this hard to manage a game. We played a quarterback who’s thumb was purple who hates his team and they backed into a win. Liek what the heck

I don't think it's that the defense has stopped playing well because Dak is back because they don't like Dak or are jealous of his paycheck. I think it's more likely that they have just relaxed just enough that it becomes a problem. They knew they had zero margin for error with Rush leading the offense to 21 ppg so that's how they played. With Dak back they have clearly realized that they don't HAVE to pitch a shutout and as a result have seen a drop in their intensity level. It doesn't even have to be a conscious thing or even a BIG drop.. but it's human nature. And in the NFL where the guy across from you is trying to kill you, a little drop off can turn into a lot very quickly. The best example I think of is when teammates on an NBA team stand around looking lost on offense when their superstar has the ball. They're not chumps.. all are legitimate NBA players who could go off for 40 points of their own if you let them.. but when Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant has the ball they stand around looking stupid a lot of the time. Yes those are extreme examples.. but I think it paints the picture..

I think it is even simpler than that....

I think teams have more film on our D and are now attacking it by not throwing it downfield. I think they are limiting our biggest strength by running the ball and exposing our weak edge defense.

It is a formula that is being used every week, and the games we lose, we are being beaten at our own game.

Well it’s either the defense, KM, MM, JJ, Oline, RB, TE, WR, he was rusty or global warming! Dak continues to be the most coddled QB in the history of the NFL!
I think it's the fan. They don't hero-worship him enough. when he gets more followers he will play better, you know like when he finally got paid and he said he was read to play now.

LOL, probably in shock at what they just witnessed from those two especially MJ. Someone on YouTube put play by play of MJ and Kobe doing the same play. Love Kobe but that d— MJ just made it look so good and graceful.

why won't dak stick to the game plan? why does he have to try to play up to the better quarterbacks? we know how that ends, so why does he do it?

This one is easy. He's arrogant as hell

Constantly trying to show and tell everyone how awesome he is instead of just doing things to help the team win.

Kind of like TO. But without the talent and playmaking ability
