So your contention is the offense is better and putting up more everything with Dak but the defense decided to stop playing because they are jelly?

Is that your point?

Not that Wentz could score or do it when it mattered but Heineke can?

Not only that but the guy is always hated on his teams, documented fact. Dak is beloved...also documented fact.

So that's why the defense plays better when Daks in. Because he's so "beloved"

:lmao2::lmao: you can't make this crap up

This one is easy. He's arrogant as hell

Constantly trying to show and tell everyone how awesome he is instead of just doing things to help the team win.

Kind of like TO. But without the talent and playmaking ability
I think you nailed it on the head. Didn't he make some arrogant comment about taking the team to a new level when he returned? I didn't think he meant he was going to take the team to a 2-2 record but maybe he did.

Bingo. Exactly right.
Instead of being humble, praising Rush for a bang up job as backup, saying how thankful he was for the opportunity to compete and be back on the field with his teammates etc

Always about him and what he's capable of

Not a leader.

Well, he did study leadership in school, I just wonder if he passed. Leadership can not be learned in school, it's something you are born with.

Yep, Dak comes back, defense forgets how to play, coaches forget how to coach, receivers forget how to run routes, the refs are out to get us, cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria!

I came to this thread expecting to read comments about how this is Daks fault…I was correct.

Maybe the defensive players think rush gives them a better chance to win the game

I don't think it's that the defense has stopped playing well because Dak is back because they don't like Dak or are jealous of his paycheck. I think it's more likely that they have just relaxed just enough that it becomes a problem. They knew they had zero margin for error with Rush leading the offense to 21 ppg so that's how they played. With Dak back they have clearly realized that they don't HAVE to pitch a shutout and as a result have seen a drop in their intensity level. It doesn't even have to be a conscious thing or even a BIG drop.. but it's human nature. And in the NFL where the guy across from you is trying to kill you, a little drop off can turn into a lot very quickly. The best example I think of is when teammates on an NBA team stand around looking lost on offense when their superstar has the ball. They're not chumps.. all are legitimate NBA players who could go off for 40 points of their own if you let them.. but when Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant has the ball they stand around looking stupid a lot of the time. Yes those are extreme examples.. but I think it paints the picture..

Underrated post

This is dumb. The film is out on our defense. Their weakness is now being exposed. It was nothing to do with the QB.

Now lets see if they can fix it.

Exactly.. Green Bay didn't discover some secret antidote to our defense. Every team with a decent running back has been able to exploit it. I still think the first step toward fixing it is quit playing 3 safeties and get back to playing 3 linebackers. When Parsons is at DE and Kearse is at "linebacker" you have a 240 pound DE and a 210 pound LB. Great if it was 1972.. but in 2022.. you're getting run over with that personnel group.

I wonder what the time of possession of Dak's 4 games were... was the defense left sucking air going into the 4th quarter because of being on the field to much ???

Defense on the feild much more than necessary....speed guys wear down faster.

Humility.

In one of Rush's wins, he stated the defense won the game not him. When Rush lost to the Eagles he took responsibility for the loss, mentioning his interceptions. He took the full blame.

Dak was bad mouthing Rush before he even came back...Mentioning thing like his ball has a lot of pop (insinuation that Rush doesn't throw hard) and that the offense will get back on track when HE returns. I'm paraphrasing of course.

Now we hear that those interceptions are not Dak's fault. A true leader would have fallen on the sword and squashed the talk of CD and Shultz being responsible. Crickets...

Many here have played the game, it doesn't matter at what level. These things matter to teammates.

Rah Rah cheer cheer, Dak is our man....On the way to their cars where no one can see them, I guarantee they are singing a different tune. At least some of them.

The offense has had fewer 3 and outs (7 to 8) and the same number of turnovers in the last three games as it had in the previous three... The offense had 3 drives of 10 or more and scored 5 total TDs in the three games before Dak returned. It has had 4 drives of 10 or more plays since Dak returned and scored 13 total TDs with 7 of the TD drives being at least 75 yards to 4 such drives in the previous three games. We're gonna have to find another explanation than "the defense has been on the field too much" because the offense has been holding onto the ball longer and hitting paydirt twice as often since Dak returned.

Everyone who watches the game and the body language knows that very few if any on the team respect daks football ability.

You mean as soon as we stop pounding the ball with our RB's and taking control of time of possession, the defense started looking bad. Who could have saw that coming?

You mean as soon as we start playing our weaker opponents... everybody wants sacks. Who could have saw that coming?

You mean as soon as Dak came back Kellen Moore start calling option routes again. Who could have saw that coming?

You mean as soon as Prescott came back the defensive players became undisciplined again. Who could have saw that coming?

The answer is... everybody outside of the organization saw it coming.
