MM needs to fix this....fast. We can say a lot of fo things about Garrett and most of it would be true but during his 8-9 year tenure, his team never quit on him. Anyway you slice it, this kind of thing is not good after your first 4 games as a coach. You can lose control real fast. Just me, but if I'm MM, I'm privately putting ALL 11 starters on notice this week, clean it up or your a.... will stand on the sideline with me. (lol)

Cut them all except Diggs, Smith and Hill. Give me another 10 guys on practice squads who give 1110% effort. Guarantee it’s better than this BS. It’s a damn shame when Hill has the best motor on the defense.

Maybe Nolan needs to go back to the Rod style of defense for now, then implement his crap next off season. But hopefully he is doing it somewhere else. Not in Dallas...err, Arlington.

I haven't watched thoroughly enough to assign a grade to T Hill but he has been jumping out as a guy getting penetration & hustling. Gotta give him credit that his effort issue seems to be behind him.

I am super disappointed in the defensive line FA signings.

What coaches say to the public typically doesn't mean much. Its coach speak, and what gets said in the locker room and film room is a different story. Jerry saying that players need to trust the scheme really stands out to me though. It would actually make perfect sense that guys aren't bought in yet and have basically started playing backyard football. Explains some of the busted coverages, and lbs constantly filling the wrong holes.

1000% ...no question this probably the biggest issue with the D IMO. Not hard to see guys are not playing with no instinct, slow to react, waay too much thinking out there. In fact, this jives with some players calling for a scaled-down playbook last week.

he's been bad. the only time you see him penetrate is because the o lineman is allowing him to and he's taking himself out of this gap responsibilities. One run yesterday he went into the same gap that a woods was in. and what do you know the rb ran 12 yards right through his gap but he "penetrated tho".

I'll keep an eye on that ..... if i watch any more games for a while

So guys are playing with effort but are doing what they please according to Mike.
Translation of MM and Jerry comments on the defensive players. "We like our guys. They put tremendous effort in doing the wrong thing".

Yeah but I do agree with the other poster he does seem to have a motor. He just doesn't know how to play football yet. Not sure if he ever will. I think people like the fact that he's actually on our screen...he'd play last year and would disappear.

...its looking like some are not trusting the Nolan experiment. Call it, Lazy? Stupid? Too difficult? etc. They all better get on same track this game.
