Probably not, but you’re also probably not going to win if you give up an average of 32 points per game either. This year’s teams happen to be offensive focused teams, but next year a team carried more by the defense might be in. This year doesn’t define the NFL now and forevermore. You’re not gonna win a Super Bowl averaging 22 points a game in TODAYs nfl.
Sorry. Not sorry
I disagree. Rams shut down Zeke, Ingram and Kamara. You can't go by regular season ranking you must look at what they do in the playoffs. After Eagles scored 14 points in the first quarter the saints didn't allow them too score again. Dallas had a great defense but have up over 200 yards rushing to the Rams.
I can agree. This year doesn't define the NFL but it has been trending that way. Rule changes have made offenses more potent Last years super bowl also featured top 5 offenses in the league as wellProbably not, but you’re also probably not going to win if you give up an average of 32 points per game either. NE and LARams both just won their games w/ D.Defense doesnt win championships in 2019...
The top 4 teams Rams, Patriots, Chiefs, Saints .....all offense teams
And of course the Superbowl Rams vs Patriots (offense game)
I still think our best shot is building a dominant defense because of our QB
yet both Rams and Pats were around the tops in creating turnovers. Defense matters, ask KC DC who just got fired what KC thinks about importance of defense

The Patriots have always had a good defense. Which is evidenced by the fact all their super bowl games are tight, mostly one score games. They have the ability to force 3 and outs when most needed. It has always been historically a combination of the right amount of offense and defense to complement each other. And it always will be.Your right but the majority of people on this board will shoot you down because they don't understand the modern game of football which really was kicked off by the 2007 Patriots.
This is not your Joe Gibbs, couter trey, Bill Parcells, OJ Anderson or even Jimmy Johnson Zampesesque league.
Yes, however, the counterpoint is that the lack of defense can prevent you from winning championships.
The Chiefs defense is why they aren't playing in a Superbowl this season.

I disagree defense wasn’t enough. Before they changed the rules dominant defenses could get it done. The 85 Bears, the 2000 Ravens, the 2002? Bucs, recent Seahawks, etc. The Bears almost win a SB with Rex Grossman.Sure they do but you need a competent offense to go along with it. Defense alone is not enough, never was.
