The defense had its faults yesterday but look at the score 38-24. 7 points on McBriars mishandled punt, short field for Philly. Bledsoe's fumble, short field, Defense held them to 3 points. The 102 yd interception for 7 points. That's 17 points off of turnovers, not acceptable. Sure they gave up two big passes for TD's. D Ware did have a TD. Our Defense held them to 52 rushing yds. So really not that bad for the Defense.

Start of the game the McBriar and Bledsoe spotted Philly a 10 pt lead. Then Bledsoe finished off with 7 points for the Eagles.

It goes back to the Offense and the play calling. We have weapons on offense but we are not using them. QB's can't hold on to the ball that long and take sacks especially at the end of the game. Parcells needs to be more aggressive on his play calling. Also T.O. should be going off. We could have used Crayton, Hurd, Green, Rector or Austin they way we are using T.O. and saved the money. Bottom line get him the Ball. I hope he does throw Bledsoe under the bus.

How can you be sure the play calling is the problem with not getting the ball to TO - how do you know our QB isn't to blame?

I am not defending Bledsoe what so ever. I believe Bledsoe and the play calling are out two biggest enemies.

5 wides in that game was beyond dumb. Every time we did it, we got killed. It led to Bledsoe's 1st turnover, and surely should have led to another, but it was dropped. I don't understand going 5 wide against a team that normally kills us when we keep a TE in blocking. It's just asking for a disaster and we got it.

yep, i never understood the theory of beating a blitz by spreading the field. it still takes time for receivers to get open...and with less guys in to protect it takes less time for blitzers to get to the QB.

The 5 wides empty backfield set didnt even work against Tennessee, it was instant pressure although I think it did work partially against the titans cause JJ caught a 20 yard pass on a wheel route but there was instant pressure on that play.

I thought our defense played good outside the 3 huge plays they had where our safeties got torched. And I know everyone on here is ripping Roy Williams and Watkins, saying Roy Williams sucks so bad in coverage and what not but safety is such a hard position to play id love to see some of you guys play safety. Everyone has a rough game once in a while and Roy Williams had a rough one, hopefully thats out of his system and he gets back to dominating, the guy is a great player for us. Pat Watkins well hes still a rookie lets hope he can improve because he has played well up until yesterday.

Everyone talks about how great this defense is.
It has the POTENTIAL to be great, but it aint there yet.

Inside the 10 yard line we couldn't get a sack on Donovan McNabb, who promptly sidesteps Ratcliff (I think) and completes a 87-yard bomb to some no name.

The defense still can't generate pressure when it needs to or sacks.

We're still a good defense that needs its offense to keep it off the field with time-consuming drives.
