I never do this, and I poke fun at people who do, but for once I'm going to play Madden with the Cowboys and make a massive defensive change that will never happen in real life. Because I'm bored.

My fantasy defense is now a 3-4:

1. Defensive line: Everette Brown -- Nick Hayden-- George Selvie
2. LBs (taking present injuries into account:: Kyle Wilber (weakside -- keep reading) -- Hollomon -- Ware (yes, inside LB) and Church, who always lines up on the TE.

Why? Church is good against the run and has a chance at stopping the TEs one-on-one who have been shredding the defense all year. He will in effect be Chuck Howley. And Ware inside has a chance to be the Monster Backer -- solid against the run, excellent pursuit and picks his hole to rush the QB. No more of those wild wide angles that he has been taking at DE.

3.Corners are Carr and Scandrick (or Claiborne if healthy) with Heath and Moore (who I see as a ball hawk) as safeties. I haven't thought through dime packages, since I'm just fantasizing about how to turn Ware into the wrecking machine he can be, especially with a healthy Lee next to him.

I would also like mid-60s Tom Landry as head coach, working with Tex Schramm, Ernie Stautner and Gene Stallings etc. But there's already enough crazy here,

I'd just onside kick everytime at this point.
