Defense is going to have to carry us

We all know the offense with Rush or any other backup QB will be compromised. Unlike Dak, which teams were taking away the pass by playing coverage, we are going to see the opposite, they will make the QB beat them through the air. I am fully expecting the run game to be opposing teams focus. Rush is going to need to make plays, but most importantly must protect the football at all costs and rely on both the defense/st's.

Yes, the defense has it's issues against TB, but were excellent in the red zone. This day in age, yards mean nothing, it's all about giving up FG's over TD's. Holding Brady and TB under 20 points was a success. They are going to have to carry this team until Dak returns, outside of this week and against the Rams, they do not play a top QB until Dak is expected to return.

We don't actually know how good Tampa is. They could blow out a good team next week way more than they did the Cowboys. Its too early to tell how Cowboys performance was or how good this Defense really is.

it was one game..SMH against one of the best teams, qbs, and defenses in the league. im not worried about the roster as much as KM not being able to create offense.ughh

elite, well those don't grow on trees don't see 1 in the nfl right now we just played the best. we have top 3 NFL defense, and it can only get better. I trust quinn to get players n the best spots at the right times in games..

Only TD the bucs scored took a freakish acrobatic one hand catch..we held that team to bunch of fgs, in todays nfl that about as close to elite as you can get.

Its Moore and his lack of creativity and easily read offense.. dude abandons the run for no reason, just calls out plays like hes spinning a wheel.

We knew that coming into the season and Quinn made it out like we had the Defense. We have to stop the run. And it was only supposed to be until Gallup came back. Now our Defense has to score points and hold teams to under 17. And our Offense has to find a way to produce. The answer is.. Elliot. Run the ball and use Pollard on the outside. Short passes. Run some quick slants. If Moore can’t do that then it’s done no matter who the QB is. Time for players to start vocally holding each other in check.

I suspect trouble in the locker room soon enough if we keep losing games.

My take. Treat it like it’s only one game and bucs are a really good team. I just have a bad feeling JJ set us up to fail so he can fire someone and get out of a contract. You heard the crowd when Dak left the field..

Yes they held TB to 4 FG's before a worn down D gave up a TD. Well, Micah finally got a few sacks. Wilson got an INT on a poor decision by Brady, but that happens to the best of them at times.
Where was DLaw, he didn't even have any...I almost got there moments....
Was part of it for not playing any in the preseason, stamina not there, possibly.

Maybe they get better, as usual give it 3 or 4 games to gel. But if the offense can't do their part, will it matter?
I am not up nor down on the defense after the 1st game.

Offense, Kellen Moore screw up as usual on that 1st drive. The game could have unfolded differently if they score a TD.

Exactly what I feel. One game. But it showed me that our Offense was not ready with these rookie WR. Now a back up playing. Rush needs to take the deep shots and hope for flags here and there. And Moore had to run the ball. Get Elliot and Pollard the ball on dump offs over the line.

The Defense will improve. When you have a pass rush we can work off of that..

TB, Cincy and the Rams will all suppose to be difficult early matchups. Find a way to win 1 of the 3 and that's a success. Now the Giants, Commanders, Lions and even the Eagles are winnable games even with a backup QB. Can they win 2 games against these teams? If Dak returns with a record close to .500, there is a chance to compete this yr at least for the division.

Agree 100%.......if you listen to the pressers, Dak, MM, and Jerry, you sense a disconnect. Like they all said what had to say, little or no confidence. In other words, I get the feeling there is a lot of _______ going on behind the scene, but not in a good way.

yes that and better utilize Turpin and pollard in the pass game, first game those gadget plays were obviously out of sync with no real first team full speed reps in PS,. he should have waited to bring those out when the game was more in flow and players settling down. they literally were running into each other blocker not set it was off badly. again, first game

we have speed with Turpin and pollard and need to use it as weapon. Hats the issue
