Defense is to blame

So when Dak is lighting up 30th ranked pass defenses, bum secondaries making mistake after mistake, while sitting back all day with 3 all-pro OL stifling fronts in lass protection, it’s a testament to his skill?

But when this team loses, it’s the defenses fault, because Dak can’t keep pace against an average defense and is staring down CeeDee Lamb and throwing pick 6s?

How many of the Dak fanboys were saying Dak had turned the corner against the Eagles, who proceeded to get an annihilated by a backup on the Giants?

We didn't have the LB play to even think about stopping the run. The fact that we thought we could make a run and not get exposed having safety's playing linebacker in laughable. It has been brought up on here several times this season.
LB needs to be a priority this offseason.

The Cowboys were outcoached, outplayed, totally unprepared and unable to respond. I haven't seen a lopsided loss like that in playoffs, ever. The offense and defense were equally abysmal. This team hit a wall last year in SF and is now regressing. The coaching staff is a failure and the roster is inadequate.

Need to completely change direction from a coaching standpoint. More emphasis on the running game is vital from both sides of the ball. Need to build the team from inside out fostering a culture of toughness and mistake free football.

Can't pay a QB $50M/year who is unable to win against the better teams. Don't need a Swiss army knife who will command $20M/year who has no one to step up when he is schemed out of a game. Don't need a $20M/year WR who pouts and disappears in the biggest game of his career. There are players on the roster who provide some compelling trade opportunities and others who they just need to let walk. The Cowboys need a better balance of talent across the roster instead of a few shiny pieces surrounded by Jags.

They will have to take a couple of steps back in order to set the foundation for a winning program, but that is much better than what we have seen the past 3 years and decades prior.

Dude freezes in the big moments.

Maybe he presses too hard, maybe he just gets tight in these moments, whatever.

But the facts are he can dominate inferior opponents (and bizarrely the Eagles more often than not) but almost always spits the bit in big games.

My post from a few days ago.

I’m more worried about our defense. Our run defense is still a concern and our pass rush isn’t getting home enough, allowing QBs to extend plays and find receivers down the field. Even on Sunday against a make-shift 4-12 team the Commanders moved the ball in the first half and had a 10-7 lead at one point. Howell just missed completing what would have been a long TD pass on Washington’s first possession had it not been for Gilmore‘s great pass defense. The receiver was wide-open. One of our biggest issues in the playoffs the past decade has been our defense. We struggle to make critical stops late in games and our pass rush disappears. Our defense overall has been good this season but I don’t trust it, especially with a critical game on the line.

You're being one-sided just like Rex Ryan. This was a total team loss.
We scored on the last possession of the 1st and the 1st possession of the 2nd half. The score was now 27-10. We showed some life. What did the defense do after we scored 10 straight? A 5 play, 75 yard drive by GB to basically end our hopes of coming back. It seems like you Anti-Dak Cult Members want all the blame to fall on his shoulders. It's an agenda y'all have, I know. I've seen several Dak fanboys here admit he didn't play well.

Micah was a no-show AGAIN but y'all give him a pass on that. Off the top of my head, in 4 playoff games, Micah now has a whopping 18 combined tackles, ZERO tackles for losses and only ONE sack. For what most everyone here says is the best player on this team, that's totally unacceptable. No?
