Defensive Side of the Ball (Us and Philly)
Points Per Game: Dallas 26.2, Philadelphia 18.3
Yards Per Game: Dallas 349.4, Philadelphia 354.8
Sacks Per Game: Dallas 2.2, Philadelphia 2.3
INTs Per Game: Dallas 0.4, Philadelphia 1.3
Passer Rating Allowed: Dallas 98.5, Philadelphia 82.2
Yards Per Pass Attempt Allowed: Dallas 7.5, Philadelphia 6.6
Yards Per Rush Allowed: Dallas 3.9, Philadelphia 3.5
Fumbles Forced Per Game: Dallas 0.2, Philadelphia 1.7

I despise them, but Philadelphia's defense has been much better than ours this year to date. Just because things looked easy against Eli last night doesn't mean it is going to be the same for us, and we're going to have to really force the issue defensively. Having Hardy and Gregory on the field for the first time should help us with pressure immensely. But the defense HAS to play better than they have been, they have to start forcing fumbles, and they have to stop letting interceptions go straight through their hands. We need to go 2-2 these next four games to make Romo's return interesting and that means the defensive side has to carry the load.

Or and im going to toss this out, the offense can help.

Offense has their own problems right now, defense has to step up and carry a bigger load. Defense is pretty much back to healthy offense is not going to put up a ton of points without Romo defense need to do more.

Lets see time of possession comparisons.

With our constant 3 and outs with Weeden, we can't be doing well in that category.

the offense has to stop getting off the field so fast, it shouldnt be a challenge they accept , without longer drives your defense is going to tire out.

I agree but again backup QB I don't care if it is Cassel you put up 28 points the defense better damn well do their job and they didn't. vs NO offense got them into OT you don't let a simple wheel rout beat you with shoddy tackling and guys not knowing he was even supposed to cover the RB. Offense is not going to function as it did with Romo that is simple reality even with Cassell. Defense now has all their guys back they need to as they say Cowboy up. Offense has carried them the last few years it is time for them to get off the dead ars and make plays and they are not

Our defense was that good on opening night as well with no pass rush, but our offense had TO's. We shut the Gents down and Philly the next week.
