Defense needs to deliver a solid performance against Rodgers

Both sides of the ball need to step up if the Cowboys are finally going to be able to defeat Rodgers. The Offense has to do much better at producing and getting TDs. But, the defense also has to force some punts or 3 and outs and not put the game in a position where Rodgers and the Packers offense has chances at scoring on every drive that they have the ball. The defense also can't put pressure on the Cowboys offense to have to score on every drive.

Both sides of the ball need to do their part in helping out the other.

Coming off that ugly Saints loss, this next game is an opportunity for a soul-cleansing across the board — players, coaches, fans...everybody.

We should beat the Packers handily. They have zero running game, refusing to even try to run the ball at 1st and goal from the 1 yard line four straight times. They make no bones about not being able to run the ball.

We should shut down their running game and make them one dimensional. Sacks should come against the Packers? Will we be able to do any of those things? Probably not with splits as wide as we have on the DL and no one to play 1 Tech.

The DL is killing this team. Yes the offense failed is last week too, but that doesn’t excuse the defense for letting the Saints shorten the game on us by running the ball. That was the Santa only chance against us, and we let them do it.

Defense allows Green Bay to move the ball from the 25 to the 25 consistently. We lose. Bend but don't break is fine. If you have an offense that can start in the first quarter. Not the 2nd half. Garrett teams even with Romo started offensively slow. So people can say Moore is the problem all they like but it still smells of Garrett.

We need to get off first quick and go after him. Our O-Line is going to play the run very hard. Sunday night wasn’t our O-Line.

This defense can't always allow the better QBs and offenses to consistently drive the ball into the redzone and then always hope that they will stiffen up in time to only allow a FG.
