Defense now has minimum 3 Pro Bowl Caliber players maybe more

No there isn’t a pro bowl anymore but voting on those things is decided by flash plays and reputation.

This defense now has:
Quinnen
JPJ
Barham - human wrecking ball
Downs
Bland - if fully healthy

With next tier complements of:
Clark
Thompson

And role players
Durant
Ogbonnia
Winters

And depending on health:
Overshown

Those guys all have skins on the wall in their career. Key right now for Thompson and Overshown is health. But if healthy that’s definitely not the 32nd ranked defense.
Yes but they need their players back healthy, you forgot to mention a lot of those dudes have been injured, Missed time, and because of a lot of the injuries they're playing a lot of guys who would be either just on special teams or not even active on game day.

So let's not dismiss an overlook facts you can't develop your defense and gel like we're waiting on with all the injuries and now, JPJ is new but we're missing starters, You can't now play with backups and their backups have to play snaps and that is what it's looked like the last three seasons now.

I know we're just into this one but it started just like the other two our defense is injured It looks like it's something to do with coaching which maybe a little bit is but right now with a brand new coach and a brand new coaching team they need consistency to get cohesive and they're not getting that until all these players come back from injury or are fully how you doing running this offense the way it's supposed to the way it's coached in practice the way they go over it after every game and the mistakes being made until those are corrected none of this is going to work..

So hopefully this can get on track it may be A slow start and a better finish and that's what I'm hoping kind of the opposite you see with some of these teams I don't believe the Raiders and the Browns are gonna continue this just like the Saints in 2024 fell off a Cliff after everybody started talking up how good they were,

So hopefully this comes together you're right they got the pieces you can't blame Jerry even if they didn't get the pieces some of the fans wanted like trying to steal some of the best players off other teams that are not gonna let them go in the first place the pieces are there but you gotta have them healthy and start getting more consistent and playing together each game they'll get better we've seen some sparks some flashes but we needed to all come together because giving up 34 points is why we lost the game I don't care about a few plays or a series here there they got to play more consistent.

So I'm willing to give Christian Parker the whole year to do this hopefully it gets better each game But anyone judging it now and saying well he has all the pieces now now there's more to it than that we've seen dream teams take a while to come together or completely never come together we saw that with the Eagles what's wrong with the Rams right now That was a Super Bowl contender I don't think the Texans are where they want to be Oh my how about the Packers these are the people making all the moves these these are the all in teams And then what's happening right now with them I can tell you what's happening it's taking them a while to get it together and they done more and have better players and better coaching and they still have a slow start.

i posted about this back in training camp. the defense on paper is way better. but we have coach that has never called plays. i said he needed a guy he trusted and could be a confidant on what are you seeing on the field that i am not. Peline was the guy i wanted and he said no to coming out of retirement. i still stand behind this. he’s gifted and scheming things but sucks so far at when to use it on the field at down and distance. he needs that mentor in to box to bounce ideas off of. a guy that’s done this before until he gets it. hopefully they can bring someone on that side of the ball to help CP. adding all this talent does nothing if he does not know when to use them in what area to best execute
You’re overlooking important factors and you’re wrong. It takes time to get the defense playing the way you want, especially when many players were injured in the first, second, and third games. They’re missing five starters or key defensive players, and that seems to be ignored by those being hard on Christian Parker.

That’s nonsense, Mike Zimmer and Matt Eberflus, both experienced DCs, dealt with similar injury issues, and their defenses were just as bad, if not worse. I’d call this an improvement, we just haven’t seen yet, similar to late season with Mike Zimmer when things got better. This will improve.

Those coaches had plenty of experience but lacked roster consistency due to massive injuries, and we’re facing that again this year. On top of that, switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 is something they didn’t have to deal with. We overhauled the roster to give Christian Parker what he needed, but he still didn’t get everything because of five key injuries and some players still adapting.

Eventually, like in Zimmer’s season when he got back key players and the defense improved for several games in a row, Parker will see the same. So don’t claim he has all the pieces just because it looks good on paper, those missing five starters are a big deal.

You’re being short-sighted, losing perspective, or intentionally omitting facts to push a narrative that doesn’t hold up. Parker needs more time due to the roster overhaul, scheme change, and injuries. It’s not about him being raw or lacking talent, it’s all of these factors combined.

So I can tell you this I watched San Francisco last year or was it the year before both when they had this kind of injuries even with great DC they look bad They didn't play well they had a losing season it happens I don't know how you're putting this all on a coach is saying it's just because he's green and we should have had an experience DC no that's not why this is happening.

We've tried that in the past and I'd rather have they knew guy learn on the fly Let this be his all his we get to see a younger more creative guy and when he gets enough of his players on the field at the same time and consistency from game to game, I think you will see a lot of that happen.
