Defense now has minimum 3 Pro Bowl Caliber players maybe more

They need to go to an attacking man scheme. Period. They’re at their best when making the QB make quick decisions. This defense was built in the image of an attacking downhill scheme. They just choose not to run one. They need to take a page from Flores’ book and have at least 5 people going at the QB 75% of the time.

January 2023 before he signed to be the Vikings DC. So...
There's little to no chance they would've fired Quinn so Flores was never a realistic target. If it has been the following season then yes that would've been bad to not consider him

No there isn’t a pro bowl anymore but voting on those things is decided by flash plays and reputation.

This defense now has:
Quinnen
JPJ
Barham - human wrecking ball
Downs
Bland - if fully healthy

With next tier complements of:
Clark
Thompson

And role players
Durant
Ogbonnia
Winters

And depending on health:
Overshown

Those guys all have skins on the wall in their career. Key right now for Thompson and Overshown is health. But if healthy that’s definitely not the 32nd ranked defense.
Correct, they are 31st.

Phillips 3-4 from 2007. My fav scheme in my time as a Cowboys fan.

Defense is mostly about ballz, attitude, and a natural instinct to dominate the guys in front of you...

All these same things were said about QW. RG... downs. EZE...etc etc etc. The names keep coming, but the result is the same

Why? Jerry culture

And now. . We got ONE more guy looking ti get PAID, and paid ASAP., and 1 fewer high pick.

We're going "all in" with future picks.... for a team no where near ready to compete for anything more than a WildCard one and done.

Other than Barham whos been a force we havent had anyone on defense play at a probowl level or even close. This whole post is ridiculous

I don't count Overshown good... never on the field long enough to make an opinion on him lol

I think the problem is more fundamental that the talent on the field. The issue seems to be Christian Parkers defensive scheme and his in-game defensive play calling. What we have now is a collection of talent that isn't playing like they know whats going on. We really need a leader to emerge on the field. Nobody has stepped into Micah or DLAW's shoes in that regard. I think Downs will eventually take that mantle but its a lot to ask of a rookie.
Neither one of those players was ever a leader. They were both all about me

How many starters on defense have been to the Pro Bowl in the last three years? Honest question.
